The brushes are stopping you from removing the cover, you should see 2 small holes in the back of the cover opposite the brush holders, insert two fine bits of wire in them to hold back the brushes in their holders while you remove the cover, same deal when puting the new brushes back in and the cover back on.

I need to fit power steering to my 1988 Coaster with a 3B engine, any idea where to source a kit and steering box. Has it been done by any club member?
