  1. Hi Guys, Some crazy electronic issue popped up yesterday: Driving down the highway, Check TCS error popped up, Odo started flapping up and down from 0 - 80km/h (I was going 80).... pulled over, to turn car off, and to restart hoping to reboot the system. All power was gone form the electrics. Remote/Hazards etc gone as soon as I turned it off. Fiddled around with the battery (ie. loosened a cord, then pushed it down), seemed to get it going again. Guessing it will likely happen again. Car is due for a service again anyway, so that's not an issue.... but has anyone else had any sort of issue like this before? Software/Hardware issue? Distributor/battery problem perhaps?
  2. Hi neowolf, did you manage to install it how it works are you satisfied with it? Hi AS673... Yep, I got it installed, the two screws I was looking for were right under the unit, had to get my head down low, and look upwards (lol).... quite easy to put in/out once you know how. As for the unit itself, quite happy, for the price. It does what it is supposed to, not the most polished of user interfaces, and I'm still finding new features which aren't quite mentioned in the useless manual. The main quirk it has is it shows a 'disable video' screen whenever i have a USB/micro sd device, and all i wanna do is listen to music.... wish i could work out how to hack that out haha. Radio works great. Haven't tried the other functions yet.
  3. ok.... so I got my unit, but bugger me trying to install it lol. I'm trying to get the original out, and videos suggest I need to take out a screw or two from underneath the aircon controls.... I can see two screws, but they are quite far back and in the corners... are those the ones? Also, do I need to unclip any extra facia other than the upright parts? Cheers :)
  4. Also a Q regarding the D5116 - it looks like it supports analog TV only Any cheap/easy way to get Digital? Alternatively, any thoughts on this one: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/8-INDASH-DVD-GPS-DVB-T-NAVI-iPOD-TOYOTA-CAMRY-AURION?item=170697068784&cmd=ViewItem&_trksid=p5197.m263&_trkparms=algo%3DSI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D20%26pmod%3D130796797085%252B350607087273%252B221148938704%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D4020874700131767387
  5. Yep, same here with an '07 Touring. I guess its just the arodynamics of the interior of the car. Perhaps those window rain/plastic coverings would change it?? I just let my aircon chill me. lol.
  6. Howdy, I just got myself a shiny 2007 Aurion Touring last week. All seems well so far, except on my first drive up to work today, The front left parking sensor continually indicated something with extremely close when I came up behind another car in traffic. From my understanding, the sensor can only 'see' about 50cm or so... but this thing is going off when the car is still 4 or 5 metres away. Any ideas? I'm guessing with my luck this isn't a common issue
