  1. Thumbs UP for Toyota, I do not have to pay for the repairs. Always believed that Toyota are the best.
  2. Hi all Kluger owners, I had the same problem.I purchased my 2008 KX-S kluger last october and had done 13000kms only.Last week i noticed the noise and noble toyota referred me to Terry Shield Parramatta. They tested the car and found that it was the Pinion ( and what ever relates to it) my car is a front wheel drive. The warranty had expired in January and It done 16000kms now. I called to find out if toyota will wear the cost as it has not done that many kms and the warranty expired only few weeks ago, until today no response if they will wear the cost. If I was to pay its gonna cost me around $3500. But the guy from Terry Shields told me that this is a common problem with Toyota Klugers and he's got already 3 of them lined up with the same problem. So waiting for a response. I will put an update once i get a response.
  3. I found out today what the whining noise is. Its the pinion, and guess what? I was told this is a common problem in Klugers and they had few Klugers lined up with the same problem. Has any one had the same problem.
  4. Hi guys, thank you for your input. well it may not be bearing noise it is more lke whining noise i guess and it is at all speeds even if it is rolling downhill on neutral.but it gets louder if the gear is engaged. Toyota have got it and they should start dismentelling the gearbox tomorrow to see what is wrong with it.
  5. Before I bought the Kluger i used to have a commodore that I have converted to Gas. (duel fuel actually). I was advised by experts that Gas engines will wear out quicker than petrol because Gas is dry and eventially it will damage the pistons. To avoid this problem make sure you get them to install what I think called oil injectors that will keep your pistons lubricated. On my ex-commodore they were going to cost about $170. Worth to install specially if you drive long Kms. If you dont drive the car much it wont be worth converting as at some stage you will have problems with engine. And make sure the Kit is Australian made. Imported cheap kits will cause back firing. This is my advice but seek the experts.
  6. Hi everyone, this is my first day as a member in this forum. Six months ago I bought a 2008 KX-S kluger. it was first registered in January 2009, and so far it has done 16000 kms only, few days ago i found out that bearing noise coming out of the gearbox. I took it to toyota and they have to check it out.The history of the Kluger has already been checked all clean. The bad thing is that warranty expired last months. Has anyone had a bad experience like mine at allllllllllll.......!!!!
