  1. Hi Everyone, I have a 2012 Yaris YR 1.3 manual (as cheap as they come :)) I want to fit cruise control to it, i "acquired" a cruise control stalk, and installed it, the cruise light comes up on the dash when I flick it on, though I cannot get it to actually work, the dash has the set light, though will not work at all. I got told it needs a clutch switch, though this being a 2012, it should already have one in there, (I need to put my foot on the clutch for it to start) Anyone shed some light on why its not working? Thanks.
  2. Mmm sorry I'm a little confused, do you mean the heats held or something in the actual downpipe? Have removed the headsheid with no avail. Sound goes straight away when I spray around the springs though.
  3. I posted this up not long ago, but the issues are still there, and i have narrowed them down. Basically I managed to get the car up onto a hoist, if I pull the exhaust system down, the rattle gets much worse, if i push it up, non existent. It's loud enough it has gotten to that stage if i'm next to a brick wall, I just want to shoot myself, I also sprayed some trusty lube onto the spings on the exhaust manifold, and it went away for about a week. Could it be the springs rattling or something broken?, I tightned the bolts over the spings up as much as I could, but made no difference. It is a very similar sound to what is posted in this thread, though it explains no end problem http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/35263-identify-this-sound/page__hl__%2Bsportivo+%2Bnoise Help would be great as it is driving me insane!
  4. Mine was leaking at 110k cost 260 to replace from a mechanic
  5. Remember as the days go by, its getting hotter.. hotter = slower
  6. Take a dump before you take it up the 1/4 mile, that'd save at least 0.2s
  7. Didnt think it would be the rears, i can put people in the back nearly be tucking the rim, and not make the noise any more dramatic. Be just the tyres are to wide? I think it is to low, but to late now. Would have preferred to go Lows, and probably will change them back over when i have the spare coin.
  8. Hi all, I have searched this, and did not find much. I recently got my car lowered all around on King Springs Super lows, now when I go around corners or hit a fairly big bump, i hear a sound that sounds like plastic scrubbing on concrete, now I keep checking under the car, and i dont see anything that could be doing it, my other though is that it could be my tyres rubbing on the guards? I have 205 55 16 tyres on the standard sportivo rim, and they do bulge a fair bit. It is starting to get annoying to find what the sound is, just want to see if anyone else has had the same issues. Thanks,
  9. The leather on in my 05 sportivo has started to crack quite bad, I've had a look on carsales, and it looks like most of them start to do it, now i dont want it to completley rip apart, and was just wondering has anyone ever had their leather repaird/smoothed over?, ive been using oakwood leather treatment on it once every month or so, but im just worried about it getting worse as it looks like its never been treated before i got it. Thanks
  10. HI all, Am in need of a stock exhaust for my sportivo and stock seat rails for the seat as well. If anyone has any of these please PM me, prefer pickup around the brisbane area. THanks,
  11. I have a strange feeling i looked at this one when I was looking around, you got it from enogrra way? (not enogra but around that direction?) fella had a really steep driveway?
  12. Just a quick question, couldnt really find anything searching Just wondering if any one knows what the rear speaker size is in a corolla sportivo, zze series?. They are not 6, and i doubt there 4's, 5" speakers are hard to come buy, i just want to know before i go and buy a set. Thanks
  13. The first one i mention, when i take off wont make any rattles when just revving, will only make the sound on take off. sounds like a stall sort of rattle The second one i should have said happens at higher revs, usually between 1.5 - 3k, will rattle when revving. No noises I can ever hear over 3k thanks,
  14. Ok, I have searched, and i have narrowed one of them time to one of the tensioner pulleys? One happens at low low rpm, if i take off and give it no more then say 1200 revs, i get a deep rattling noise. The other one seems to happen at higher revs (between 1.5k to 3k), sounds fairly tinny, will rattle when the car is on the spot as well. Any help as they are frustrating the hell out of me, its hard to diagnose where they are because of the exhaust is too damn loud. thanks
  15. hmmm, the price has gone up, i swear this was under 2k a few weeks ago... But pretty cool
  16. Personally i would be aware. With the amount of odometer tampering that goes around, (Saw it happen on another car forum, someone sold a n16 turbo with 260,000 k's on it, showed up on ebay 2 weeks later with 90,000 on it) Sometimes carhistory.com.au will show up known odometer readings. Thats just my opinion :)
  17. I was thinking of mounting it on the bottom of the A pillar for when i get mine. Steering wheel would be a headache and a half
  18. Before i go ahead and order one http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/APEXi-i-MONI-Diagnostic-Digital-Gauge-meter-RPM-/380305316311?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item588bf699d7#ht_968wt_1139 thats the one? its come down 100 bucks as long as thats it im ordering it tonight :)
