  1. How did you get on with this. I am wiring a brake controller and have found the blue wire but am having trouble identifing the correct brake light wire in the boot. A Toyota mechanic told me to connect to a brake light wire in the boot area but all the wires are so small in comparison to the recommendation for the controller. Can anyone identify what the orange wire is for, as you say it has a warning label that says it has to be looped if car later than 2007, but what does this wire do.
  2. Thanks, finally got to it and there is a convienient grommet there to use. There is a batch of other wires going through the main grommet but there are 2 nipples suitable to run ny single wires through.
  3. Thanks for all that, I got a mirror & torch and found the black grommet with the nipples. I will try using one of the nipples 1st, if that does not work i will move to plan B and try the other 2 suggestions. I will report on my success or otherwise. many thanks
  4. We own a 2010 ATX Aurion and need to get some wires from the engine bay into the passenger cabin to wire up a Tekinsha P3 brake controller, The actual wiring of the unit seems straight forward but I can't see a simple way to get the power wire from the battery through the firewall to the P3 unit. There is a mass of wires in there but with everything else under the bonnet it is hard to get a clear view of any grommets or other access points. Any help appreciated
  5. Hi everyone, while searching google for information I have been impressed with the quality and quantity of answers through the club. We own a 2010 ATX Aurion and are competely happy with it. Comfort, power and fuel economy. Having just recently acquired a small poptop caravan we need to fit a brake controller and have been quoted up to $600 to supply & fit. I have purchased the unit myself (Tekonsha P3) and will probably get it fitted by an Auto electrician but It does seem straight forward until I looked under the bonnet to find access for the wires from the engine bay to the cabin. Any suggestions on the easiest way thru, once in there I can pop the door sills and then access the boot where the Toyota fitted wiring terminates. Any suggestions on how to get the wires from the engine bay to the passenger cabin. All assistance appreciated
