Sorry i did n't see your reply before and i did n't notice you specified using Kumho tyres on your vehicle.Discard my quote on other post.So i will change my tyres to 255/55/19 to feel the stability.... Cheers http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/38970-19-tyres-for-2009-fwd-kx-s/?p=524122
  4. Also dashboard and door trims protector. It looks darker color once u applied gives u more upmarket feel. Whether it really protect or not I have no idea. And today is my first year anniversary for my kluger. Looks better than a brand new kluger. Brand new car been transported from Japan to kangaroo land it's been exposed to harsh weather, car yard, sun and rain, sea, etc.
  5. Congrats bro on your new kluger. My little experience on leather on my previous car. Since its new straight away apply leather protector. If its dirty then clean it and apply and reapply once a month. After a year and a half it still looks like brand new leather albeit slight wrinkles. As for my current kluger fabric I applied scothguard. New paint nothing much to worry. Clean your car and apply a layer of prewax then a layer of sealant and final layer carnauba wax. It should last u couple of months provided you wash your car regularly. Wash at least once every two weeks. For me if weather permits I'll wash every week. Wax at least every 2 months or once a month(repeat sealant and final wax some advise wax then sealant but for me sealant n wax is good) use mothers product buy from supercheapauto cheaper than autobahn. To avoid road tar, bug, dust, tree saps stuck on the paint. As for spares mine I'm not too sure if we can lock it or not. Mine still on 17inch. I'm on 40psi too. So far gave me best mileage. If you do alot of freeways then 40psi is good. If you go tassie I advise 35psi. Lol Accessories sidestep is good for my son, tow bar is a must just in case although so far I tow once only in one year and to protect yourself incase someone rear end you. And nudge bar good for no front parking sensor. One more thing to add. Apply rainX to all glass area including your side mirrors. You will appreciate it when it rains. And protect from water mark for at least 4-5years. Serious one bottle can last u yearssss. After all your hardwork on paint protection and rainX splash some water on the bonnet and check out the water beading. Enjoy bro.

    Body Roll

Bro as I mentioned on your another post. From 245 to 255 there's about 1.4% increase in tyre size. So you might feel there's a bit of fuel increase. Let's do the math. Stock 245/55/19 - One tank say 70litre on 10litre/100km = You get 700km. (e.g say from VIC to NSW) Now 255/55/19 - One tank 70litre on 10litre/100km = you get 689km (Still from VIC to NSW covered the same distance but due to less tyre roll u get less kms on your odometer. hope my calculation is correct.
  7. and this one is on 245/55/19
  8. add a picture for you. this one on 255/55/19
  9. fuel economy not much different at least for me from 17inch to 19inch 245/55/19 and then to 255/55/19. from 245 to 255 there is a 10mm diameter increase. still within 15mm tolerance. no problem on insurance. and your kluger sit 10mm higher. you wont feel the different though. but it does look abit different with 'fatter' looking tyre.

Stock Dunlop 17inch is even bumpier than bridgy 19 or kumho 19. Could be diff rubber compound.

    Body Roll

Mine was on 17" and lots of body roll. Then change it to 245/55/19 it does help abit but overtime I feel not much different from 17. then i changed to 255/55/19. i feel very very stable at high speed conering and roundabouts. till now already clocked 10ks on it 8days trip back from tassie and loving it. and it's no high performance tyre. it's a kumho. only thing is i should have lower the tyre pressure on tassie road. I was on 40psi feels bumpy though. :)
  12. bro look at 255/55/19. 255/50/19 u get smaller diameter(-1.93%) than 245/55/19. On 255/55 you add 1.46%.So you put more ks on your ODO on 255/50. Moreover your speedo and actual speed will have big gap. stock size:.245/55/19 from your house to coles 10km (100km/h on speedo , GPS clocked 95km/h) 255/50/19 from your house to coles become 10km +1.93%=11.93km (100km/h GPS clocke 93km/h) 255/55/19 from your house to coles become 10km - 1.46%=9.854km. (100km/h GPS clock 96.3km/h) due to bigger circumference your tyre roll less. simple example take a small and a big ball and roll it from you kitchen to your dining and see which one rolls more. and last thing you need to know from 245/55 to 255/50 is touching 15mm diameter lesser than original. Put yourself on risk on insurance. good luck bro hope this gives u a little idea before you buy it.
  13. i found mine after 30k km service my consumption up abit too from 11.2-11.3 - 11.5-11.7. I suspect they did't blow the air filter. I'm goin to do it myself.
  14. defintely legal bro. 245-255width overall diameter is less than 15mm and you get higher load rating. So it's 100% legal. If more than 15mm then it's illegal.
