  1. Hey Man! The lip is from http://EZLip.com costs around AU$50 including postage.
  2. Yeah but is the black housing the only difference? Here's the pic you requested Rich! Also a little peak of my LED's The amateur Lip installation is due to my negligence.
  3. Love the idea of the SX lights that's next on my list. I've priced it up to be $228 each. So that's $450ish for a set :/ It really changes the look of the car! Let me know how much you get them for man!
  4. LEDs from where? Ebay? Link? Cost? How'd you install? Hey sorry i didn't attach the link before. It was from eBay http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Rostra-260-1024-CAMSE-2012-Camry-LED-Daytime-Running-Light-DRL-Kit-/400320759195?pt=US_Car_Lighting&hash=item5d34fa059b&_uhb=1 Got a mate to install it, but I'm pretty sure it's not that hard to DIY. He's a licensed auto electrician so thats a bonus! It makes it look like a special edition Camry because people have mistaken it for a Genuine Product lol. Although I must admit, for nearly AU$400 I did think twice before buying it!
  5. Hey Man! Yeh it sucks only the Atara SX comes with the sports suspension. I got the LED's in mid December.
  6. Let me know the dates of the annual meet :) Sydney sight sighters gather around more so for the whole jdm sort of meet not just Toyota specific. Sad story :(
  7. Also Dinindu! All the best with modding man! Don't think you'll go wrong with the airrex setup, Looks epic! Keep us posted! Sad to be in Sydney. While all the Gen 7's are partying it up in VIC :(
  8. I Got a confession :P That was me who bought the coilovers off CCRUZN. Sad he's not on the forum though he's a top guy! Got it off him for 800ish and then he sent it over and my installation cost me around $350 which was a bit pricey but I could not wait. Had then installed on Jan 2nd and haven't looked back since! As far as I know my ride height remains at 150mm off the ground.
  9. Hey Man! I'm loving the work you've done so far, I recently put BC racing coilies on mine too! For me it's a big difference since my SL didn't have sports suspension, i think my height is the equivalent to yours, did you feel much of a difference compared to before? Also did u change it to the harder or softer settings?
  10. Completely agree with shipping, I have made an enquiry to the guy in Florida but no response. I called up a place in VIC today quoting me $1549 for the TIEN Coilover kit and that was for a Hybrid Model and he could not guarantee that it would work on my model. Called another place in Sydney and they quoted me $1199 for the RA Series Coilover Kit (BR Racing) but that was for XV50 so still unsure. Still doing some research and finding places. If you have any links or phone numbers that could help heaps. :)
  11. Just changed my low beam H7 lights last night to Philips Blue Vision! and Changed the Licence Plate Lights to LED Wedges. Bought the Fog Bulbs as well H11 Blue Vision and haven't had the time to change it as yet. The passenger side low beam bulb was the most difficult to pull out because of its awkward position. The Licence Plate lights were problematic to remove as well. It wasn't as easy as the video, I ended up doing it the difficult way by removing the boot lining. :/ Next on the purchase list is the interior lighting.
  12. Man you've gone hard out on the mods! Well done! Just wanted to know your thoughts on these coilovers that I've seen! http://www.ebay.com/itm/BC-Racing-BR-Series-Coilovers-2012-2013-Toyota-Camry-Non-SE-XV50-C-90-/321235252549?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3ACamry%7CYear%3A2013&hash=item4acb1cf545&vxp=mtr#shpCntId Is XV50 the one I should be looking at? Also the american SE Model is the equivalent of our SX Model Right? because they have sports suspension. That's why I selected the non-SE Model
  13. Hey Rains, Check this out... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1SZajvbGHoU If ya not doin reverse lights as well (Which means takin out the boot lining) and its just the license plate lights then check this video... im bout to try this in the next day or so. I'll let youse know how i go. Hey man, sorry for the delay! Haven't gotten around to changing it but will have a go tonight! The video is exactly what I'm looking for! Thanks dude!
  14. Hey Man! Loving the colour scheme! I'm looking at making minor changes to my camry as well. Your post has really provided a valuable insight. Keep it up. Thinking about getting 20's for mine just thinking about which style. Also for 50.UNIQ I seen you on the road man! Pretty slick ride. I'm keen to know how you go with the coilovers, that's something on my list. This model seems to have a very limited range of aftermarket products which is sad, but hope to see more come out soon.
  15. Hey, Just wanted to ask if you had any luck replacing the rear number plate lights on the SL. I have tried so hard and referred to the manual but I just cannot get the bulbs to come out. Also any suggestions on HID kits and quality park lights and best places to purchase? I just have baby blue parkies on my right now but haven't had the time to change the main bulbs. They have started to fade because they are the cheap LED parkies so I thought this time around I would change both. Thanks!

    2012 atara sx

Congrats on the purchase, I've got an Atara SL and that 'high-pitch' whirring noise is quite normal, I've done about 16,000k's now and I'm still in love with my car! Awesome Purchase!
  17. Good to see man, thanks for sharing, provides me with encouragement :P
  18. I drive one of the more recent models, I think they've stepped up their game in regards to the stereotype of the 'family car', a bit more luxury + sportier look. I'm quite happy, I reckon it's actually quite a sophisticated vehicle, if you look at it in detail.
  19. My Atara was affected, recieved this email from them earlier today: As you may already be aware, Toyota Australia has announced a recall of its current model Camry, Camry Hybrid and Aurion vehicles built between October 2011 and July 2012. A total of 19,099 vehicles are affected in Australia. The recall is due to a fuel hose that may have been incorrectly manufactured. There is a possibility that the fuel hose that connects the main fuel supply line to the engine may have become wrinkled during connector insertion. In some cases this could result in a small hole in the fuel hose which may allow fuel to leak, resulting in a remote possibility of a fire hazard. There have been three reports of this condition in Australia. No accidents or fires have been reported. As an owner, we ask you to contact your preferred Toyota dealer as soon as possible to arrange an inspection and, if necessary, fuel hose replacement. The inspection will take approximately 30 minutes and Toyota technicians will be able to easily confirm whether the condition exists. Only vehicles found with a wrinkled fuel hose will require repair. The repair will take approximately one hour to complete at no cost to the customer. You will also receive a letter by post with this same request. For further information about this recall customers can call 1800 643 242 or visit www.toyota.com.au/news We thank you for your understanding in this matter and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
