  1. hit the setup button while parked and fiddle with the vehicle settings, you can set it to unlock when you stick the lever into Park or otherwise it unlocks when you open the driver's door... also i believe there's something in there that turns off the Auto-lock function just filled up, it's good to know that after the fuel left reaches zero, there's still a good 12 Liters left in the tank (good for at least another 100km after your gauge says zero, good to know!) so my combined consumption in one week of driving this awesome car is exactly 9.04L/100
  2. yeah around town i'm averaging about that also, anywhere between 8 and 9.5ish about to fill my first tank today :) have been a bit wasteful, i know this but fuel economy hasn't gone above 10l/100 for the week so that's good
  3. my best so far has been 7.1 average for the day, that was on sunday, i went to the airport, but on friday night i went up Mount Dandenong and got an average of 7.6 for that day which i was really impressed by that being said, my previous car was a Honda CRX renowned for being particularly frugal, i averaged about 8.5-9l/100km in the CRX so i'm fairly used to light fuel consumption, that being said, in the rex i used to get a maximum of 10l/100 even when pegging it everywhere, but it was a 1.6 weighing 900kg
  4. hey Jayda isn't the graphite an awesome color in these cars... only problem is i haven't learned what the damn car looks like, well more i haven't remembered what it looks like in car parks, i keep losing it amidst all the other grey cars in there :)
  5. i ended up getting the insurance through toyota, when combined with the extended warranty it entitles you to a single free claim each year after the first year (saves you your excess if you have a prang) and also was about $100 cheaper than any other quote i found anyways folks, i have some photos up of it here, check it out
  6. Hey there folks, New member here, just got my very first Toyota (not my family's first one, mum had a '96 corolla a few years ago and dad has a Dyna truck) which happens to be the new Camry Atara R. it also happens to be my first "zero KM" brand new car my first impressions of this car so far (I've put about 190km on the clock since Thursday when i picked it up) are that it is supremely comfortable - that being said my previous cars have all had track-oriented suspensions, heavy sway bars, urethane bushes, solid mounts etc so i'm certain a stock Hyundai Excel would be a comfortable ride to me - as well as really easy to soak up the kilometers i got mine in the graphite color, which personally i think is easily the classiest color this car comes in, closely followed by the pearl white anyway, here are some photos i took, i'll get some more soon i hope to get involved in any cruises or meet-ups that take place down here in Melbourne and get involved in the club
  7. hey folks, i'm a new member here, but i just bought my first toyota today, this very car, still waiting on delivery, likely to be late next week, but basically it's in between the Altise and the Atara S, it misses the dual zone climate control, chrome door handles (which i'm not a fan of anyway), and the power front seat, other than that identical to the S i'll throw some pictures up when i take delivery
  8. Welcome to the Toyota forums NikZak :)
