  1. I think there is something wrong with them. I would go so far as saying they are nearly dangerous they are so dull. Will probably just go and get some at Autobarn.
  2. The lights on my Camry Grande 2008 are rubbish. Can you provide the details of the bulbs and where you ordered them from or can you just go down to Super Cheap or AutoBarn and pick these up. Is it easy to get the bulbs out and what where the costs. Thanks.
  3. If you like IT's then check out this site. Might take you down memory lane. Yamaha IT Australia
  4. You should have kept the HODAKA there is one on evil bay for $6500 which seems crazy as I think I only paid $250 for the one I purchased.
  5. The old rolla is looking great. I like the grill. Yeah I remember the Hodaka bikes. They were produced by a subsidiary of Shell. Mate had a 100 Dirt Squirt which I bought off him and was promptly made to take it back by my mum.
  6. Hi, Been a while since I have been around and have been missing the Sportivo. But to get my dose of fun I am now into vintage motocross. I purchased a 1975 MX400 in racing yellow. For those that know it should be white. Here is a couple of pics of me from Sunday. Hope all the Sportivo people are still around and having fun.
  7. Wheels look OK to me with the car dumped that close to the ground.
  8. I thought it was ordinary. A rubbish copy of the original. I though the editing was rubbish. When he drove the RAV 4 over the sand dune in the air they showed it for about 1 second. I would have liked to see it for longer and possibly twice. It seemed when the cars were doing something interesting they would cut to the hosts having a laugh or an in car shot again of the hosts head and we could not see the action. You could see that the front of the RAV was toast after the jump but they didn't mention it or show it again. They need to do a lot better.
  9. Seems pretty much top dollar at $21K. I am trying to sell my 8/2003 with under 60K klm's for $15. I have had no luck todate. This is a very good condition car so I can not see $6k difference for a 2005. The trade I was offered was $11 - 13 but they had to firm it up. Told them to forget it as I would keep it for $11. The latest GoAuto report said that used car sale forecasts are at their lowest ever in recorded history. If the seller is in the industry they would have read this report. So I say go hard on the negotiations.
  10. Was speaking to my neighbour on the weekend and I had a laugh when he told me had had been busted for being on the mobile phone in the car. He admits he should not have been on the phone so no excuses really. But the funny part was he was pulled over by a black Hummer (the Blue and Red lights between the big tooth grill were pretty cool in his rear vision mirror ). Apparently the Qld police have ordered 6 of these. So be careful around Hummers.
  11. I think it has been pretty much proven that talking to a passenger is OK. Passengers moderate the discussion in terms of what's happening on the road as they can see it. They are also another set of eyes that point out if you are becoming too engrossed in the discussion and not concentrating on driving "the back seat driver syndrome" often suffered by spouses. Whereas the person on a phone call would just keep talking as you plough into the back of the vehicle in front. Moral is don't use the mobile phone in the car and get a message service.
  12. Not a wagon but have a nice hatch . Will sell it to you cheap (honestly willing to cut my wrists on the Sportivo) PM me if interested.
  13. Craig. Good luck down there. I always said Sydney is a great place for a holiday but you wouldn't want to live there. Hopefully you can prove me wrong, work has given up asking me to go down there and now with the kids getting older they would kill me if I told them they had to shift.
  14. Don't tell me I got a ladies car. Starting to feel like it could be a bit of an oldies car something like a Volvo due to the number of times I have been cut off in the Honda. Never happened in the Rolla. Gotting me thinking about it. PROS A Stivo was probably always to fast to fill up the gaps or take off from the lights B Stivo front spoiler looks aggressive and no one was game to cut you off C Only crazed youths drive Stivo's so don't cut them off or you might get stabbed CONS A Honda is brand new so I am driving like a little old lady geting used to it and leaving too big a gap B People see a brand new car and just cut you off because they know you will pull out because you don't want it scratched C Hondas are woosy old peoples cars and you won't get stabbed
  15. I would because I could use the room in the garage. But the wife is not one of those "I lov the smell of two stroke in the morning" kind of gal. Anyway I have been riding it so need to keep it ready to go.
  16. Well it has arrived and it looks great, drives great but it ain't no Stivo. Too refined too quite too big but getting used to it very quickly. Plenty of buttons and gadgets to play with. So here it is. What do you think of the colour = Volcano Grey You can see the poor old stivo in the background. Looking all lonely and unloved. So sad.
  17. I just had a monumental birthday so to celebrate and relive my youth I brought my self a new (old) toy. Brought a fully restored as new with genuine parts Yamaha TY 250 a nice 1974 model. Had a 175 then a 250 when I was young so spoiling myself again. Bike is show room condition. What do you think.
  18. Yeah I'm getting it for that much as a salary sacrifice deal. I have looked at the Golf 5 door GTI as well but it works out a fair bit more expensive especially if you option it up to match what is in the Honda. Also was looking at the Mazda 6 sport hatch but I am not real fussed on the plastic looking front. I liked the drive of the Honda manual it seemed to go well.
  19. Selling the Sportivo - nothing wrong with it 2003 model and only 57350 klms on it. In perfect condition really but need something bigger as I am driving to the Gold and Sunny Coast a bit now for work. Probably get the new Honda Accord Euro 6 speed manual Luxury pac. What does every one think of the Euro (or anything else for that money say $37K). Also is it hard to sell Sportivos privately and what sort of money should I be looking for.
  20. Just got on to this new stuff , Pepperjack brewed by Saltrams (winery) in the Barossa. It has some shiraz in the beer, So best of both worlds. Strangely it is bl..dy good.
  21. I think I was telling the truth. Just forgot to say it was on the track at Willowbank = no illegal stuff here.
  22. Spotted Superdave doing 160 kph overtaking a Porsche Carrera on Saturday.
  23. Queensland Government had a heap of cars stock piled up here and they dumped em on the southern states. Stockpile gone now so you probably wont get those numbers around again.
  24. Phoned Hayman Reece and they are the ones who do the removable hitch for the Camry Aurion. They still use a Toyota wiring harness though. Cost a little more than the Toyota one but worth it as that Toyota one is ugly ugly ugly especially that wiring harness point. Will post up some photos when I ger it done.
  25. Beauty. Thanks RB. Are you sure about that I was told for the Camry (looks exactly the same) No it can not be taken off. Frankly I think they look pig ugly especially compared to the brilliant design on my Rolla Sportivo. Although I have seen some new Camrys with a small hitch type tow bar which is very neat I am trying to find out who make it. Looks very much like a Haymen Reece. Any body else seen these and know who makes them.
