  1. Zre152 and 182 have the same floor plan as suspension so there's a good chance the exhausts are the same too..
  2. could you do the strut brace any cheaper? thanks
  3. actually to get the front decently low you do have to compress the spring i have them
  4. im keen on the uni chip message me on 0408007637 if its available
  5. And that is why you always leave the car in gear when you park... it was insurance covered it :) but the handbrake did nothing at all it was that f*cked took about 30 mins till it happened
  6. Are you providing more grip to the front wheels, or taking grip away from the rear wheels ;) Springs control body roll, anti-roll bars control the balance. bit of both and sway bars control sway or roll haha springs marely control the abilit for the shock to compress and at what rate it pushes out
  7. I did 180's in my corolla... Hand brake went loose Nek minnit it's at the bottom of my friends driveway back into a concrete pillar with 8800 bucks worth of damage luckily no people around it at the time
  8. Actually a fwd should always sit higher at the back if you want better handling Sitting level is just for looks and 4wds You want more grip in the front for obvious reasons and less in the back to limit under steer (Second year mechanical engineering student for what it's worth, I'm not just guessing) My zre152 sedan has stiffer sports coils in front and back from Lovells, the front lower 40mm The back about 50mm which does reduce the huge gap difference it came in but still a lot better, and on top of that I've got a 2 stage kmac rear sway bar, and the car runs on 215/40/17R wheels on 8 inch whose Lexus mags so there's a bit of stretch to stiffen the sideways I've had impreza drivers and even a r32 golf driver be very surprised how well the car takes corners without over or understeer Hope this help with anyone looking for handling
  9. theres a difference between a shifter thats short and a short throw shifter if you shorten it its just a smaller shifter arm, short throw changes the pivot point so it has to move less to change gears but leaves the shifter the normal height
  10. can you put up a pic? and also you wouldnt have a rear sway bar by any chance?
  11. haha WOOOO dont see many of them around, but i actually really like the colour!! :D
  12. it has been lowered with lovells sports -25 to -40 at the front and super lows -45 to -60 at the back soooo happy with the outcome especially the cornering now!!
  13. finally lowered with lovells!!

  14. came of in a very "do what you want but my way is right" sort of way anyways to the important issue, well that why i started this so people that upgrade can see id be happy to get second hand for a lower price, having no luck with second hand so far i have to go with new prices :( im no saying im inexperianced, when i had my turbo hilux i did the engine work and suspension on it once done i was doing hill climbs with 22 psi boost and keeping control. but being a p plater im easily blamed and if worse comes to worse then what do i do? thats my question.. not to sound cocky i know few years experience doesnt match decades but im confident in my driving especially round town but like they say "**** happens"
  15. sorry if it comes off rude the way you put it got to me so let me put it in a better way. i've not enjoyed the ride in a car that had coilovers in it, even tho i do try avoid pot holes and i do slow down for speed humps.. **** happens, and as far as i know all adjustable suspension and non adr approved coilover are a defect and void insurace in case of an accident. for a set of xyz coilovers.. the only ones iv found cost roughly about $1250 delivered to my door. the springs, sway bars and strut brace would cost me about 750 with out any defect i could find on forums or rta website itself. so for a decant amount less i should be getting quite and improvement on stock which is kind of what im going for lets say my p plater inexperiance kicks in and i ram a s class and put 20 grand damage into the car.... insurance voids my cover which i already pay over $2000 for full insurance and i have to come up with the money myself? bye bye zre :(
  16. so.... you wanna trade!? :D please share where you got the grill from!
  17. Still got the stock springs? Please SMS me on 0408007637 if you do I'd like to pick them up tomorrow Thanks
  18. Thanks for the sarcasm... I love hearing the obvious. Now read my first post compare the price or coil overs to springs, sway and strut bars and tell me how it's still a smart idea to use coilovers If you want to use them go for it, you suggested them and I nicely replyed that I don't continuing to tell me to use them especially in the manner you choose to is not going to change my mind
  19. We were all on the uni budget once haha so we know. :P A few words of advice, just go at your own pace, don't rush your decisions and enjoy the journey. :) haha yeah waiting for my springs now and still 2-3 weeks till theyre ready the suspense is kinda nice in a way :)
  20. well i dont want coilovers anytime soon as for daily driving ive had horrible experiances with them,... unless they 3 grand street ones they tend to be track oriented so speed humps and pot holes which i tend to run into from time to time will be trouble =[ where from? how much? if you do want rear swaybar, cusco and kmac make them, cusco is 16mm and kmac 20mm. iv got the kmac on mine with stock suspension and it made a noticeable difference. next for me is coilovers (after intake and exhaust that is haha) google kmac suspension or greenline.jp for the cusco thanks man ill give it a look
  21. i got charcoal metallic wheels with 114.3 stud pattern for sale
  22. i've noticed, but ive found springs for $285 new (rrp $360+shipping) so ill go for them. thats about the sort of discount im looking for thanks man, luckily found another ZRE sadan driver lol
