I think Toyota should replace the whole door and replace the parts with paint stains all over the inside of the car. I'm of the opinion I was sold a demo car as new. They did try to sell me a demo car when I was looking. They said it was just as good as new. I said no thanks. I wanted a new car that time round. We live and we learn. I now use Nedlands Toyota to service our Toyotas. I can't sell it with all these stains all over it and things not working as they are suppose to work. The car isn't worth to much now. Can I post the car dealer in question or Is that a no no ?

15 months later and no action taken by Toyota or the dealer in question. The car is falling apart. Window wipers both front and back are stuffed:( The water to wash the front and rear window no longer works. The water in the tank is full but doesn't seem to want to suck it out to go on the front and rear windows. Door handle is falling off. This is the door that had scratch marks and was faded. The auto buttons for the windows sometime work but mainly they don't. I have to wait until mid year before my next service is due:(

Why do new cars have poor visibility and blind spots ?

Seriously are you the villiage troll. You use an old car with good visability and obviously never driven these modern cars otherwise you'd know all about it. I beg your pardon! My parents own both ZZE and ZRE sedan Corollas. I've driven both multiple times and haven't had the most difficulty that you describe. No I do not know all about it because I'm not an open book or mechanic. A sedan is NOT a Hatchback. See you know less about cars than I do. Sedans are a totally different design. I never thought I'd see the day that someone would know less about cars than i do. -

Bingo! And they took perfect advange over this but like I said I've since discovered many others that knew more about cars than I did and they too been stung by them. One chap took his car in for service and just gone past the warranty period. He took it in for a service and picked up the car. Being a DR he was driving out to a patient and his car simply stopped. Called out the RAC road assistance people and found that the radiator had been drained which is why the car wasn't moving. They filled it up but damage was done. He was advised to drop the car in and order them to fix the damage caused by this. They agreed and then he goes to pick up the car and is asked to pay $1500. He told them they should pay and what happens next is a group of 5 big tall blokes surround him and intimidate him to pay the $1500. He no longer has his car serviced at any toyota dealer. He gets a mechanic friend to service his car and at a fraction of the price. -

You obviously have never bought a new car. First off you sign a contract and give them a deposit and you can't just go in there check it out and have the cash and buy then and there. Its not done that way. Rego plates all take time to put into your name. Then a few days later you go in with the bank cheque and buy the car. There is a whole lot of things to sign. They come out with a yellow packet with the car keys in it then off to the back area where the car was under a hanger area. Then you drive off. Next time I go to buy a new car I'll take a hidden camera with me. All the lies they do and my mistake was taking them at their word. I just didn't think a toyota dealer would even take the risk of doing that. I've since discovered many other disgrunted people that have bought from them. We live and we learn. Another site has taken my cause up and is going to post the car yard in question along with all the emails and letters to and from the car yard. I won't post the car yard in here. That may get me banned from posting so won't do that. I won't post the forum that is doing that as its not fair to the owners of this forum. Ethics 101. It will get sorted out long term I hope. -

If it is something of value, of course I do (I'm not going to ask the checkout chick at Woolies to open the packet of TimTams to make sure that I got the full 11). I bought a ~$1k DSLR camera package just before Christmas, and I made sure that the contents of the box matched what I wanted before I left the store. If I was buying a car, I would check to make sure that the VIN/spec etc matched what I had ordered, new or used. There is an old Latin saying that is very appropriate to car buyers - Caveat Emptor; let the buyer beware. Basically not only is it the seller's responsibility to supply the goods as described, it is also up to the buyer to confirm that they are receiving what they want. In a lot of transactions, the act of payment, delivery or package-opening is enough for the buyer to accept liability and thus void right of return I reckon you are a troll. No store would allow anyone to open up a sealed pack before buying. -

I have no idea what you are talking about. I was buying a new car. I wasn't selling a car. My car has paint stains all through it along with scratch marks which I'v eposted a few times in here. Here is the image again. When they sell their cars you pay them and then you are taken out back to their hanger area and then you drive it off. It did not even occur to me to look over the car. I signed a contract thinging I was suppose to get a brand new car and who would have thought about lookingh inside the car for paint stains. Like I have said I know nothing about cars. The car I test drove and the words seca on the back and was a thinner model car where the doors basically go vertically down from the top of the car where the one I have they jut out on a curved angle. I suggest you go try one before posting again. People that have them are saying the same things in many forums. You say your 8 year old could park it. Lets try that out. Get a camera and let him drive the 2011 model close to the petrol pump. You pay for the damages when he hits it or can't reach the pedals. I bet you your kid would scream like a little baby and be scared and probably go to the toilet in the car. lol. -

Why the need to swear to get your point across. I do not get the youth of today. Why should I lose $10,000 in selling it. You may have plenty of money to through at things but I don't. I'd lose if I sold and I'd have to spend money to fix up the inside because of these paint stains. As you can see these are just the ones on the inside of the car door. There are plenty more. This de values the car. It was sold to me in this condition along with other problems. I'm hoping the ACCC in the longer run will get around to it. If need be I'll go to the tv news media although 7 and 9 have advertising with toyota so manybe that is pointless. -

Are you trying to say it wasn't even the same MODEL car (as in you test-drove a ZZE but bought a ZRE)? And you still handed over the cheque? They take you into the front room where you can not see your car. Like I said I was hood winked. LIve and learn I guess. I've stated many times I do not know that much about cars. I assumed that these things were more of a myth and certain car dealers. My lesson is to take my brother wioth me next tiem when buying a new car and not buy from that place. Since found many other unhappy people that have bought from them. So you are saying when you buy anything you take it out and inspect it before buying. They must love in stores. lol. To many rotton things happened wuth this car. It had no pre inspection by the toyota dealer as it was not signed or filed in. I found that out later in the service manual which had not been filled in my the sales manager or the sales lady that sold me the car. Still that is life. Take the good with the bad and learn from it. -

I over compensate all the time because I do not want to hit another car. Never had asingle accident on over 30 years and I'm not going to start taking to many guesses with this car. When I park in the supermarket at the floreat forum on the bank side it is teh easiest place to park as I can use the window reflection to guide my car in between two cars. The added carcams make a difference now. When going to get petrol I think I'm really close to the bowser but when I get out I'm a good 2 metres away from it. Some of my friends have gone the roo bar option just to see the front of the car and soem have gone for little flags on the front corner of the car. One mate has even had these handle bar looking things up just behind the lights and high enough to see the front of the car when parking. They should have made these cars with cameras at the front and rear like soem other brands are now doing. Some newer brands like the ford focus even have a computer to automatically park the car. Theyt need that in the new corollas. -

Like I have stated many times in here before. When I test drove the corolla it wasn't the same car as I bought. I was hood winked by the dealer. The car I had the test drive it was much easier to drive. I thought I was buying that car. It was a thinner car and better visability. When I arrived with my bank cheque I then went into their hanger out the back to drive it off. When I was driving back home I noticed sdomething was different and it was the poor visability. My knowledge of cars is pretty much pathetic and they took advantage of this. When I got home I noticed the paint stains inside the car door along with the scratch marks. Here is the picture of the car door. There are other paint stains in thre car. The dealer is hopeless to deal with. They take the time when buying and email back and forth but after I bought it they ignore all my emails and even when I've gone there they get a bit narky so what can one do about it. Companed to the ACCC 13 months ago. They never do anything about much. They are understaffed. I've since found another Toyota dealer which are many times many times better and give good advice about the tyres and the general running of the car so I don't need to have the tyres constantly replaced. If the tyres had of been balanced in the first place then I wouldn't have needed two new tyres at the front. Oh well live and learn. Now that I've had my car serviced at the new toyota dealer I now go with the car is running much better. It no longer pulls on the steering wheel like it did before and much easier to drive. -
Thank you for your suggestions. I got that same advice from the new Toyota dealer that I am now going to. They said to make sure the tyre presure is at 32 PSI. The car after coming back from service handles so much easier now even better than when I first picked up the car. Its like driving a new car and easier to steer than ever before. The car can't have had all the tyres with the same pressure to begin with. The front two tyres had to be replaced. One was balding a bit on top but mainly on the outer edge where the other tyre was just on the outer edge. The car from day one was pulling a bit on the steering wheel. When I mentioned that where I bought it from they said that was normal so I didn't think anything of it. I'm not a car head like some of you in here. My knowledge of cars is rather pathetic. I'll do as you suggest check it more frequently. Years ago I owned one of those car tyre check things which connect up via the sig lighter. May look at buying one but no idea what brand is good or bad for these though. Anyway thank you for replying to my post.
-
Thank you for your reply. Since found out that the tyres were not balanced correctly which is why the outer edges of the tyre were worn out. The place I went to advised I come in there every 3 months to check the tyres and they will do that for free which is good service. They said if I do that then this should not ware out so fast as it did with my car. Just a shame the place I bought it from didn't properly inspect the car in the first place as none of this would have happened. I know they didn't inspect the car as the pre-delivery service maintenence record was not filled in or signed which is on page 2 of the service manual. If they had of inspected the car then they would have seen the cut tyre and paint stains in the car which I've been arguing with them for 13 months now. I take my cars elsewhere now. Again thank you for your reply.

I didn't think I needed to spoon feed you exactly. I thought what I was explaining was about balancing of the tyres not the car but there you go. You must need spoon feeding.
