yeah underneath my celica seems to be a rubber protector thing on the left side any ideas whats that for other than protection? did toyota put that there or previous owner? thanks

So my name is Benny and as of today i am now the proud owner of a 1990 Toyota Celica sx that came with a GT4 hood which is amazing. car was resprayed 2 years ago so the paint looks awesome! she has quite abit of ks on her but so far engine seems to be holding up nicely quite a bit of pick up and no smoke :P i have always been in love with the 5th gen celica such a beautiful machine. Anyway if you wonderful people have any ideas or tips even some tricks maybe haha let me know the engine is a 5f-se i believe so any advice would be welcome :)
