  1. Is there a video or steps associated with the change of brake fluid for a 2011 kluger. Also does the abs need to be disabled.
  2. Just wondering if anyone has a series of steps or a video involved in changing the coolant in a 2011 kluger.
  3. Wow, 60k that's very good. I was thinking pad change would be required well before that
  4. How many km are people getting on their kluger before they do a brake pad change.
  5. As to which oil to use the 5w30, up to how many km would you use it before changing to a different grade.
  6. Thanks for the reply. Does anyone have an idea as to where I can buy the oil filter removal tool as I can only find the twin set with drain hose. In other words can I buy 1 removal tool with the drain hose.
  7. Hi all, Have just finished my 3 year warranty on my kluger and will be doing my own oil change next time. My kluger is a Nov 2011 model with 25,000km. What oil are people using and what do they recommend. Thanks in advance.
  8. I just got my car back from the dealer after replacing the iss. The steering seems tight and there is no knock. I hope this will be the end. I cant complain about the dealer as when I mentioned to them that there is a knock in the steering they agreed that there is a problem with the steering and booked my car in for the replacement.
  9. Is there a special tool required to remove the oil filter on a 2011 kluger. If so where are they available from and how much.
  10. Went in for the 30 month service today and mentioned to the dealer that the car is producing a clunking noise when turning left. They said that they would look at it while they did the service. When I went to pick up the car they mentioned that the cause of the clunking noise is the intermediate steering shaft and they need to order it in. It will take about 2 months to get in and they will call me to replace it. "Happy with that"
  11. I have a Nov 2011 model kxr 2wd and can't get anywhere the km you lot are getting. Getting around 13-14L l per 100km. I only use 95 and sometimes 98 fuel. Most of the travel is city driving with 23, 000 km on the clock. Wish I could get the same consumption.
  12. If using full synthetic oil which grade would you guys recommend if the manufacture recommends using 10/30 mineral.
  13. I have a 2011 kxr and what I have noticed is that the trip computer and the fuel gauge are not in sync. Just other day the fuel gauge was near empty but the fuel light was not on and the trip meter said I had 40km left to go. When I filled up the tank only 42l went in. I have had this issue from new and the dealer said that it is a factory setting so you don't run out of fuel. Is this all true and normal.
  14. Any special tools required for the removal of the clips?
  15. I also have the steps requred to fit the rear bar but I'm not sure or have instructions on how to remove the rear bumper.
  16. I had my Kluger serviced last week, and the service guy told me Toyota have given up on the existing design which apparently has a ball bearing arrangement (supposedly to reduce binding when turning??), to an old fashioned spline arrangement. I haven't seen an exploded parts diagram but that seems to make sense. Mine is on the list for replacement when they get the parts in. If this is the case what month/year did they change the part?
  17. Good luck. I await your process.
  18. Does anyone have a kluger manual for sale.
  19. As the title suggests, does anyone have a series of steps for the removal of the rear bumper for a 2011 kluger. I need to remove it to fit a factory towbar or can the towbar be fitted with the bumper on the car. Thanks in advance.
  20. Thanks for the suggestions. Maybe I'm not used to the fact that all new cars have a odour problem through their air con as 1stkill suggests above "its not a factory fault". I also have a 10 year old non toyota car and I have never had an issue with the air con. Maybe this is just a toyota thing. This odour that I am refering to started about 6 months after we bought the car(new). The car had only 3500km on the clock when the odour appeared. I don't understand why the cabin filter or a deodoriser is required at this early stage.
  21. Thanks for the quick reply/solution. It's just frustrating that you buy a new car with what I believe is a common problem and the dealer will not fix or resolve the issue.
  22. Hi all, I have a Nov 2011 kluger and when the air con is turned on a bad odour comes out through the vents. He suggested a service for $170 but could not promise me that the smell would not return. I feel its a factory fault. What do you guys think? And what can I do to rectify the fault? Thanks Steve.
