Have recently bought an 80 series wagon, base model and the small gearshift only seems to have three positions, H2, neutral and L4. There doesn't seem to be a H4 position. It has Toyota front hubs. Can anyone enlighten me on this, I'd be very grateful for any help. Peter Bruce, Coburg, Vic.

I have fairly recently bought an 80 series, so I'm not too knowledgeable. I am retired and I live in Coburg, Victoria but one of my daughters lives in the West Kimberley so I am a pretty frequent traveller to and fro the Gibb River Road. I have joined this forum to expand my knowledge of my vehicle.
