  1. Does anybody have any tips about getting to the adjusting points in situ? I now realise where the Design Engineers who used to work at the old BL Mini plant went - it looks like a job for an ultra-skinny guy with tiny hands and a couple of special tools with long part numbers. Seriously, does anybody have any idea about how a real person can accomplish this feat? I'm assuming the other usual height and distance paramaters apply.
  2. > If anyone is interested on how to take off the front bumper bar for replacing the headlight bulb or installing an after market projector (Angel Eye) headlight assembly I can upload a video on YouTube and post a link. I just changed the clearance light globes on mine and did not have to remove the bumper to get at the headlight assembly, just the grille assembly between them. My Question is: Do you have a vid on aligning the headlamps? Mine have always been a tad high and when I noted the parking globes had clapped out I figured it time to kill a number of birds at the same time. BTW instead of replacing the original surface-mount T10 base 5w incandescent clearance globes I tried out the new white LED T10 globes. What a magnificient difference in daytime visibility they give! Sure they're a bit dearer but overall heaps cheaper and much less hassle than installing daytime running lights.
  3. Hello, Sherlock? One would have thought that with Hiaces being as common as and the volume of sales that they've made since the new model came out over 6 years ago that there'd be an aftermarket old-school paper book type manual available, right? I'm thinking you'd have better luck tracking down Sherlock Holmes himself! But I DID find a new CD-Rom disky thing. I figured $8.50 was a worthwhile gamble. Works off IE5 and is a bit quirky BUT is better than nothing at all. The same CD also has the manual for the previous series Hiace as well as 2005-2010 Hilux packaged thereon. Postage was prompt too. 4. Oh yeah - it's for a Manual...... a minor detail I know but somewhat relevant.
  5. Used is good, as long as it works. If anybody knows where these can be obtained please advise. Thanks.
  6. This is not my first van buy any means: that happened nearly 40 years ago with a Commer, and a bit later with a Kombi but this one is by far the bestest yet. Very impressed with the generally quiet smoothness (especially at idle) and surprising economy of the 2.7 donk which makes me tend to forget I'm driving a Hi-Top camper. ☺ times!
