  1. Hi All, just had the " new modified intermediate steering shaft " part fitted today, feels a lot better. it was done at Anthony Smith Toyota melbourne, guys where Good on chasing the part, took two weeks to get in. Don't wait, go and see your Toyota Dealer and get them to do a "Dealer Product Report" on the steering shaft. Before your Warranty Runs out.
  2. Yes they can be converted, best way to do so, is to buy a wrecked 7 seat kluger from auction, maybe pickles, you will have all the parts you need to convert it and it works out cheaper then buying from a wrecker. I have been looking into it for my kluger You will have to get a engineer's report , called a "VASS approval certificate" and update the details with vicroads or etc cost around $500 if you don't and you have a crash, kiss good by to your insurance
  3. have not tried coach head bolts, maybe that's a better way. Also I have on the car is a Chain and padlock Pic 2: chain goes around bracket for tyre to sit on Pic 1: chain goes around Towbar takes a bit of time to set up, but it is a cheap option. you can use 1 or 2 chains
  4. Cost Free Solutions: for Stolen Spare tyre-Kluger 1. (Pic1) Fit the winding socket and bar inside and leave it connected with some foam and tape over it to stop from ratting. 2.(Pic2) Make up a cover plate all lid to go over the pulley and use existing bolts and nuts. (Pic 3) Need Help, how do I "stop the crims taking the four tyres off the out side of the car. LOL
  5. or try this.!!! I bent a steel plate up and fitted it over the puller housing, using existing bolts and nuts on the car so you cant turn the pulley from under the car.

    towbar

Hi rovkxs, I had a aftermarket one fitted ( haymen & recess ) cost me $740 by Melbourne TowBars, they cut into the bumper bar for towbar to stick out, Toyota one's get a apron fitted to them because bar sits out a little more. and also not saying its a good thing the aftermarket towbars have the main metal ( Aluminium ) bar removed, the towbar replaces it. hope this helps in some way
  7. Hi guys, on my Kluger I bent a steel plate up and fitted it using existing bolts and nuts on the car so you cant turn the pulley under car. and then lowered the spare wheel down half way and used a chain, and lock,- to go inside the wheel and the body of car, and then pulled back up, you cant see the chain or lock. maybe this might slow the crims down. "But not stop them" cheers John
