Its not the throw out bearing they make a noise when you put your foot on the clutch cheers.

Hello i will answer my question yes they have the same handbrake setup as camry, as my idiot mate lives in kambalda i found out the bang was the motor going yes he votes labor labored his car to death.

As you should know Avalon have a foot operated hand brake yes the idiot left it on and drove a long way untill it went bang The question is have they the same set up as a camry hand brake, eg the hand brake shoes in the center of the rear disc.

Has the avalon got the same rear hand brake set up as a 2001 camry, as my mate left his foot brake on for a long drive and it went bang he is a dumb idoit cheers.

Yes I have used Dynamat on both of my cars with some reduction in noise has anyone used dynamat under the front plastic inner gaurds (on the inside) to reduce road noise cheers.

GET a new battery it will fail just when you are at walmart (woollwoths) that what i call it, batterys are cheap tow trucks arn't . Just make sure u have your radio code let us know how you go

What does any one think is the quietest tyre they have had on there car as in road noise, brand is not important i drive a camry and a vx ss commordore (best of both worlds) the camry is so quiet,i know the wider the tyre the more noise cheers Nav.

Could be resistance in the switch try contact cleaner or a new switch assembly off ebay or wreakers

Yes sounds like a booster problem check your vacum line for leaks and the valve good luck and let us know if you find the fault cheers.

Replace the thermostat if it still overheats replace the radiator good luck.

A scan tool might not show anything does the engine check light come on ,is it a vvti engine cheers.

Was your rear bar 17mm this is what i want to know is it worth going to a 20mm rear bar because rear bars go 14mm and up cheers

No its in a tight spot, i found some images on google and it is descibed as a water seal plate the funny thing is i ordered one from toyota and the thing has stoped leaking. No it started leaking again so i ordered the plate but Toyota had no picture of a gasket behind it, when i took it off it had a o ring, this had not been touched since new the nuts were unmarked weird so i put more silastic on it and no leak, by the way i am a mechanic even google pictures show no o ring????
