Thanks for the photos. Doesn't look to tough to do so I guess it's time to dust off the tools and go shopping. Cheers

    Fitting Fog Lights

Thanks Conrod Howd you position yourself to drill the top hole. From the front of the bumper upwards. From the back of the bumper upwards or downwards ?
  3. Has anyone fitted Fog lights to the blanks in their 2005-2008 Hilux ftont bumper. I have a couple of questions, does the bumper have to come off or did you manage to drill the holes and fitt the lights with the bumper on. I have found some info on the forum Re: wiring diagrams but not on mounting. I have also tried a couple of ebay sellers for info they all say have the lights pro fitted, I would like to do it myself. Any info pics appreciated as I havent found any photos of the back of the lights on the net and have just about given up haunting car parks hoping to see one. 4. Thanks for the feedback. My ute is a Extra Cab 2x4 SR5,the tub is as you have described except it has the cargo bars at the back window. Perhaps it went either way in 2005 as that was the begining of the new shape
  5. G'day all Why do some tubs have cargo barriers on the tub by the back window and others don't? . Do you specify which way you want to go when buying new or is it luck of the draw/model specific?. I have the barrier on my tray and would like to remove it. It looks like its welded in so I guess I would have to cut it off or chase up a tray that doesn't have the barrier. Any advice/info would be appreciated.
  6. The 17s don't fit my 2005 as the rims hit the calipers on the front. I do want to put these wheels on though as I can buy them with good tyres for $100 a wheel. So I am looking at changing the front calipers and most likely the rotors. From a bit of research I have found there was a brake upgrade in Aug 2008. Does anyone know if the new calipers and rotors will fit my 2005? And if the distance from the front of the new caliper to the rotor is less than that of the old calipers. I have asked the question of a couple of brake places and couldn't get much help.
  7. I am in WA and spacers are illegal and void your insurance. The offset is the same as the standard 15" alloys.
  8. Gday all I have noticed Kluger 17" inch alloy wheels for sale on Gumtree and Ebay advertised as fitting Hilux 5 stud 2wd. I recently tried a Kluger wheel on my 2wd 2005 SR5 GGNR15 4.0L extra cab hilux and found that the front brake calipers hit the rims (by about 8mm). Whats the go? any advice? as I would like to fit these wheels as they are genuine Toyota and the load rating is OK. I have seen the same rims on a 2010 extra cab, perhaps the front brakes have changed? and if so can I fit the 2010 calipers and rotors to my 2005. Any advice appreciated.
