  1. Excellent, really appreciate the info, may go with the original aerial as well, if the new One won't sit flush, did want to avoid the easily snapped off Ones though, even though it is on the right side, some peanut will still want to have a go someday Cheers
  2. Thanks, will remove the guard this weekend, and prefer the flexible aerial like the One you posted Cheers
  3. Hi One and All, just got an 1997 LN167R Dual Cab 4x4, the aerial is snapped off at the base, not auto. Just checking on correct prodecure to replace it. Do I have to remove the Guard (RHS)? as I can see the base and it looks like it is screwed on to a base, is there an easy way of replacing these aerials?, the previous Owner put in a Alpine system, shouldn't be a problem locating the antenna inlet on the stereo, hope not anyway. What brand or type of aerial is best, flexible kind so they don't snap off or break by some peanut with too much time on their hands. Got a little work to do, few surface rust spots, and a slight oil leak from front diff, fix the stereo first then focus on One thing at a time Had a Hilux 1983 model for 28 yrs, had a Holden motor put in and it has been excellent, getting like me a bit long in the tooth, just love Hiluxes. Thanks in advance if anyone can help with the aerial
  4. New here from WA not new to Hiluxes, have had an 83 Dual cab (still have it) since 85, now going into possible retirement. Just got a 2nd Hand LN 167r Dual Cab 4x4, hope it goes as well as my old Bus
