dale2176, thanks for the info.. Unfortunately, it's too late. They charged me for getting it looked at as there were some leaves that were jammed up the fan blower wheel. If only I had jumped on to the forum earlier!!! Oh well, lucky it wasn't an expensive exercise.... :(

The noise has mysteriously disappeared the following day. I have no idea what happened..it just stoped making that noise all of a sudden. I'm going to get toyota to check it out regardless. Thanks anyway guys.

Hi guys, I was driving home tonight and I had my aircond on and it was making this really strange noise. More of ticking sound coming from the air panels. It only happens when I switch on the air but when i turn it off, the sound goes away. Has anyone had this problem b4? If so, what is causing it and how do i fix it? Anyone here heard of Powerchip for the stivo? It claims to produce 155 kW with torque of 198 Nm..And the cost of it is just under $2k. What do you think in comparison to the unichip?? Powerchip

Looking at servicing my car (20K service) in Victoria. How much should I be charged and where is it good to get it serviced? I leave in the Sth East side of town. I find that different dealerships have different prices for their services. Why is that? I've had quotes ranging from $160-$300. TIA guys! :D

Hey guys, I got my recall done today and i can some what feel a bit of a difference esp in the mid range torque :D :D :D :D but i still find it hard to shift from 1-2nd gear. Any help or explanation for it?? Also, where is this silver plate u guys r talking about? I couldn't find it at all.

Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question.. Can I ask why u must drive it hard with the new ECU install?? Does it enhance the power of the car? I haven't had mine done yet as I'm waitin for the letter.

I too have that annoying sound when you brake when reversing and said nothing can be done about it... I also complained to them about shifting gears in high revs and they told me it was fine after i took it in for a service. And there was only 2kms done in my car on that day from the service.. I agree with everyone here that toyota service has been lacking big time!!!

The boss at the steering and suspension place i went told me about these springs and the reason why they don't deal with King springs is cuz they have an attitude problem as pointed out by xTiGeRx.. I saw the springs..they look alright but then again..a spring looks like all other springs to me..so i dunno what's good or bad.. It's prob cheaper to drive to sydney n get it done since Canberra prices always charge a bit more.. Any of u Sydney boys can recommend a shop to get it fitted for about $400? Tat's prob my budget...unless u can give me an extremelly good reason to spend more then my said budget.. Once again..thanks for the info lads.

I paid $123 for my service...mine was just oil filter and oil change and tat was basically it...wat else did u get done on your service?? but by the time i did a wheel allignment (couldn't do it at the toyota service) and balance n rotate of tyres..(which was $70) so my service all up was $200.

Hi folks, Was just curious to know if anyone has heard of this brand and whether they are good springs or not. I was told they manufacture Whiteline springs but not sure if they guy was just pulling my leg or something..Was going to charge btw $520-560 to install them..I thought they are quite pricy... So what are your thoughts on it?

Reverse breaking squiels when it's cold.. it so embarassing when u reverse out and when ya break n u hear that damn noise.. I too have the problem of changing gears in high revs..(told toyota when i had my 10000km service and they said they didn't find a problem with it but i reckon it's all B'Crap.) They hardly did much kms on my car to test it out properly... ) The engine does sound a bit louder now esp high revs...any of u guys have this problem?? Tat's all from me for now.
