  1. Thankyou for you input, I was really hoping that it might fit seeing as it has only recently been developed by them. Oh well. Might have to look into a rear mount system like this. What do you think?
  2. The exhaust is on the firewall side in these photos and that's where they hung the turbo.
  3. Looking at the photos it looks like most of the plumbing is routed under the engine so I don't see any real fitment issues but as I said send them an email.
  4. Never thought of that but I wouldn't think there would be any fitment issues as the engine is orientated the exact same way, maybe the steering column might be an issue but I cant say for sure. Depends on which way the plumbing from the turbo goes to the intercooler, cant see too well in the photos. In this forum if you scroll down there are some photos of underneath the car. http://matrixowners.com/index.php?/topic/94683-2zr-fe-matrix-turbo-kit-for-real-this-time/ If all else fails you could probably send them an email.
  5. Here is a turbo kit for the 2ZR-FE. http://www.turbokits.com/Toyota/Matrix/Turbo_Kits/TurboKits.com_Matrix_2ZR-FE_Turbo_Kit/1973/
  6. When I said depending on where you live I mean the difference between Darwin and say Mt Hotham.
  7. Have you looked at Haltech, they do a lot of stuff for motorsport and its fully programmable with a laptop.
  8. I cant tell you which brand is better but I can tell you that the propane/butane mix will determine fuel economy. But only if your air fuel ratio is varied to suit. The reason is that butane has more energy per litre than propane because it has a higher density, its molecule is C4H10 where propane is C3H8. The reason they mix it is because of their different boiling points, butane boils at -1C and propane at -42C so depending on where you live will determine how much propane is added to stop the gas from freezing in the gas convertor, people will tell you how much of a pain that can be in places where it drops below freezing quite regularly in winter. Hope this helps.
  9. Thanks mate, I am learning so much from this forum it is amazing. Their are people with unbelievable skills here.
  10. Figures, when it says 800*480 tft monitor but also says 1080p it cant be both. I would say it is 800 by 480 resolution so what else would be wrong with it when they lie in there advertising. sorry you got done.
  11. In actual fact the Ford alloy crossflow head did get eaten out by some coolants, you had to use a specific coolant for it, ask cylinder head repairers. Seems it use to happen to quite a few motocross bikes as well, seems they had a high magnesium content in there alloys so you had to use coolant recommended for their particular use. Some coolants have descaling ingredients in them silica (abrasives), typically green coolant has 25% solids (silica) and red coolant has 15%. Japanese makes tend to use phosphates not silica in their coolant.
  12. You my friend have a real talent, that looks incredibly cool and looks like it came from the factory. Good luck in your endeavours.
  13. Can we see them on the car pleeeeease!!! I just gots to see them.
  14. You wouldnt believe how hard it is to change the wheels on those things lol
  15. Just bought a 2009 corolla conquest hatch and must say am loving it, so surprising for a car that looks small but has so much room (maybe it should be dark blue and say police box on it), anyway thought i would learn as much as i can about it and pass on any knowledge that i have that may be relevant. Was a mechanic before they put computers in cars ie:stone age.
