  1. You'll likely find that doing both front and rear will mean that the car handles exactly as it does now, just stiffer. If you want it to handle better, just do the rear and leave the front alone.
  2. Hey Guys, Reviving an old thread I know, but can anyone confirm if these units will fit a Grande? I'm looking at a 2012-2013 Grande for the Mrs and need to know if I can replace the outdated factory system with something more up to date without having to use one of those ugly fascia kits. Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers, JC
  3. As the title suggests, I have an Eclipse Reversing Camera for sale. This was previously installed in my Mitsubishi Triton, but given that I now drive a 2 door hatchback, I couldn't justify going to the trouble of installing it. Included in sale are: - The Camera & Mounting Bracket - All associated wiring (including video cable)- The wiring is literally long enough to fit anything short of a school bus in length, even in a dual cab long tray ute there was plenty of slack that was taped up. - Control Box This will connect to any head unit that has a spare video input. I used it with my Alpine w502E but as I said, it is basically universal, if you have a video input on your head unit, this will connect to it. Cheapest I could find anywhere was here: http://www.ebay.com....=item1e64bc3e12 Selling @ $150 + Postage, or if you are near a Bank of Queensland branch (plenty of these Australia-wide now) and happy to collect from there, postage is free.
  4. The manual lists it as suitable for every variant of the ZZE122 and ZZE123 (finally found a friend to translate . . . thanks google). I will be in touch, still happy to let you test it as I mentioned.
  5. I'm all over them mate, already getting my hands on some parts. Looks like my car will be sold shortly. Looking for a set of G-Games for the new one . . . know of any sets lying around?
  6. Yeah I figured as much Prozak, Im actually surprised it escaped with as many of the bits on it as it did.
  7. Ok, I've done some digging photo wise, and I put that system on in May 2007, so it probably did more like 50-60k before you got your hands on it. It was second hand when I got it, so it has definitely done some k's. As I mentioned, the muffler was replaced at or around 90-100k so depending on what is actually making the noise . . . my guess (and its nothing more than a guess based on the age of the system) is that it would be the resonator, that thing has definitely been around the block. I can't find a thing receipt wise, Im pretty sure everything was turfed once I sold the car. Edit: Apologies to the thread owner, I've just realised how hi-jacked this has become. Maybe pm me if your after anything else Justa.
  8. Dude, there was a CES intake on your car when I sold it? I get the feeling someone at the dealer you bought it from may have made it their own . . .
  9. The rear muffler on your system was replaced at about 100k, depending on how many k's you have done since, it might be worth having a chat with Trev to see what he can do. Im happy to have a dig around for the receipts and scan them to you if I still have them. The system it self would have done at least 30,000k before you got your hands on it, but the rear section was brand new (or pretty close to) when I sold it. It was done at the same time I had CES do the headers.
  10. I heard if you rub your tummy and pat your head whilst you install it, the noises go away?
  11. I reckon JC is looking at Corollas that already have tail lights in them . . .
  12. Hi Guys and Girls, As the topic suggests, Im looking for a well maintained 05 (facelift) sportivo. Would prefer White, but will consider Black. Don't really mind if it's stock or modified. Low k's would obviously be a bonus. If anyone knows of any around or anyone considering selling please let me know. Cheers JC
  13. Very Very similar in fact . . . . Glad to see it finally found a good home with another enthusiast. I will be watching this thread closely. Re: Upgrading the braking system, last time I saw it there were slotted rotors all round, QFM HPX pads and race fluid, so unless they fell off somewhere along the way, I would leave the braking system as is. Your headers are the stock items ported by CES, Your exhaust is also CES. The cruise control isn't stock (but Donna has already told you about that no doubt). The springs are whiteline and shocks are Koni (the adjuster should be in the centre console, lol) You should already have a whiteline rear swaybar too. I can't think of anything else right now, but there is more in that car, a very reliable little birdy told me.
  14. Its amazing how quickly the school holidays seem to come around. . . . .

    JC's Stroller

Maybe next week for a last hurrah if I get the chance mate. I have accepted a transfer with work to a land far far away, so I'm busy packing my life into a box to move. I remember it being much easier without a Mrs and the two little darlings . . .

    JC's Stroller

Update: Exhaust Manifold, New Muffler, HID/Projector/Angel Eye conversion, Brake Upgrade etc etc Special thanks added too.
  17. All good mate, I'm the first to jump at the throat when I see something I think is sarcasm (or anything else for that matter), I think I can forgive you without chopping your feet off . . . but only this time, lol.
  18. do you think someone who doesnt even know how to adjust a handbrake will know what their doing if their shuving the screwdriver into the rear rotor hole? shoes can be already worn best to inspect before adjusting, thats like a mechanic calling a customer saying " your shoe needs adjusting thats $66.. then when they go to do it through the hole its worn out, and needs to call the customer back saying " ooops my bad shoes are worn im a f'ing idiot i shuld of checked, needs new one of those aswell "... adding wasted time... Breathe, step back, and breathe again. Prozak, you sound like me after 65 beers. I was asking because I did not know. This is why I said "Can anyone shed any light on this?" I wont name names, but there was a person from this forum who has pulled apart more corollas than you have had hot dinners who didn't know what those lugs were for. I mentioned that they could have been for adjusting the handbrake, and they could not confirm that. So how about you put your cranky pants back in the bottom drawer, read my post again, and you may (or may not depending on your intelligence level) notice that I was actually asking someone who knew what they were for to confirm my suspicions. By the way, thank you for confirming that they are for adjusting the handbrake . . . that is precisely the info I was looking for.
  19. Ok, curiosity has the better of me here. The rubber lugs in the rear rotors appear to be there for no other reason than to adjust the handbrake without removing the rear rotors. Can anyone shed any light on this? NRG, if it is the handbrake, you will find that it is not the pads rubbing on the disc, but the handbrake 'shoes' (think like the old style drum brake shoes) that grab the inner of the hub being too tight.

One of the finest examples I have seen. Just when I think I'm 'finished' modding my car, something like this comes along and my wallet starts screaming again. Inspiration is an understatement. Nice job.
  21. Awesome guide Eviltwin, thank you. I did this over the weekend on my facelift, which was actually a little easier as the chrome surround comes right out and requires much less masking. I got a little adventurous, wanted HID's with a proper beam cut off as well . . .
  22. Thanks And1 and Kenshin, did mine using your method on the weekend, very happy with the result.
  23. http://www.racegoodyear.com/tires/pdf/EagleRS_09SEP09.pdf Racing tires that'll fit my 18's and my 17's... If you came here for advice, take it from someone who knows what they are talking about. He's trying to help you, and in time (if you last that long) you will see SD has PLENTY of good (and proven) advice to offer you. If you came here to make yourself look stupid, ignore this comment and continue on your merry way.
  24. Spotted DJKOR just around the corner from my place on Marshall Lane, Kenmore. I would tell you when, but I have been on holidays for a week, and the beer has removed my memory . . .
