Hey all, I have just purchased a 2011 camry touring (liquid metal) from a dealer. Upon sale the dealer offered me the option for optimised paint protection on this vehicle. She told me that with the new technology of paints on cars (no lead and being softer) that waxing or polishing is not good for protecting the paint work. I am not one to fall for these add on sales but was wondering if anyone has ideas on the best upkeep of the paint to ensure high level of protection. i have been using mcquire products on my previous car being gold class shampoo and conditioner followed by a cleaner wax every couple of months. Bear in mind i live in QLD and my car gets parked out in the whether during daylight hours. Any fedback would be much appreciated.

Hey all I am looking at buying a 2010/11 Camry Grande with sat nav. From what i can gather they have a 4 disc in dash 8 speaker stereo with premium sound. However cant seem to find any info on usb/ipod input. Does this stereo come with this feature, or is their a basic mod that can be done. It seems strange that other camry models have this feature and the grande would not. Any help/info on this issue would be much appreciated. Cheers

Can anyone help/give advice. I have a 03 rzn149r hilux 2wd. Recently (late June) i had the passenger rear axle seal replaced due to a slight leak of oil into the rear drum. The leak was only minor however i wanted to have the problem fixed. Everything was fine and had no issues with the car. However 2 months later suddenly i have noticed oil around the rear tyre. I pulled the tyre off and also the drum off to discover a major leak present. The rear shoes are covered in oil and the rear diff oil level seams to be down half an inch. The leak itself has only just became apparent, as if the seal itself suddenly **** itself. So here lies my question/s. Is it the same seal leaking that i have already replaced. Maybe the seal wasn't fitted correctly or the seal itself is faulty. Is there any specific tricks to ensuring a correct fitting. Or is there more than 1 seal (an inner and outer seal). If so, should i have replaced both seals at the same time. If either seal was faulty would the leak be apparent in the same area or can you differentiate between each seal from where the leak is evident. Could it be an inferior seal (ie not a genuine seal). Any help advice would be much appreciated.

Ta for reply. Kms around 180,000. There is no load on the car but people (dont do any towing never really have). Only just noticed noise recently. Travelling under 100km/hr. However just finished a drive on the freeway at around the 100km/hr mark. As for drivng technique pretty mild. Generally use the car for driving around town, doesnt see much action. I noticed you mentioned oil type. Can you recommend the correct oil to use and how much. Might try a change there first to see if any difference before looking to spend the big bucks.

Hello all, Was looking for some help in identifying a noise in my rzn149r 2wd 03 hilux dual cab. I seem to have a whining noise that appears to come from the rear of the vehicle. The noise only seems present after a lengthy amount of driving (ie approx 1+ hours) including some freeway driving. I have recently had new tyres fitted (budget brand) and also have recently had a rear axle seal replaced. Thinking that maybe the noise could be coming from the cheap tyres ( focusvanti) as they heat up or from the diff. The code for the diff is A01A. Have checked oil level and it seems fine however have read that incorrect oil type could cause such noise. Unsure if this is an open diff or a LSD. Also can anyone tell me what oil i should use in this diff. Any help would be appreciated.
