you will have to modify the body where the hole is behind the headlight. the back edge of the hole where the pipe goes through has to be bent down to clearance the CAI pipe. No matter the brand as the facelift headlight has a large back on it that protrouds out a lot towards the hole and space is limited.

As far as events are concerned there is only ever a handfull of events in the upcoming events section as once they have been run i then put them in past events. Is it really that hard to read the title of say 5-6 threads and see if it is in your state??

If you look in the events section WA has a thread pinned at the top of the page for your regular meet up. It has been there since Sept 08!!! Qld, Nsw also have a thread similiar with state specific stuff on weekly/monthly meets. Anything out of the ordinary will be in the upcoming meet section.

Rear is totally different. Corolla torsion beam vs Celica A arm with strut.

I could be wrong but I am leaning towards Gavs answer in that the mounts are different on the Celica. Sure I have read it somewhere but by all means don't believe everything you read LOL

Kings lows are 35mm drop. As for "scragging" I've never heard of it. the only way you can compress a spring to make it a larger drop is to heat the spring and reset it. the downside of doing this is the spring rate is changed usually making it stiffer but it can also de temper the spring steel and on the odd occasion the spring will lose it's temper all together and become very soft.

For those interested I can now get a hold of KYB's for the ZRE's at long last....

Front's - $172.38 ea RRP $213

Rears - $170.84 ea RRP $205

These have been proven to be a good replacement for stock struts with lowered springs on the ZZE's so would be the same on the ZRE's.

Doesn't look too flash and it is for a 1ZZ. For the money he wants it prolly aint too bad. Custom kit like this done properly would cost well over 10K to get made.

I just contacted my local suspension dealer for a Kings S/L + Koni Shocks set up, but also asked if he recommended getting any Strut/Sway Bars, so, I think i'll keep this thread for when i do buy one! :D

How'd you go though? Did you decide which one you wanted?

I think personally I'd prefer one with 4 points, not the 2 like the white one you have there.

Check the buy and sell thread as I have some Koni's up for sale atm. I'd get front strut and a rear sway. I had them both on my car it handle superbly. Both items were whiteline.

I tried to start the meets earlier as well but got too many whinges from people who said they couldn't make an 8pm start. I'd be happy as to start earlier cuase 4-5 hrs sleep just makes work the next day a bit hard.

Monthly dinner will be a 7.30pm start and will basically be the meet up for that week. If any want to meet at the loop afterwards then that is their choice.

Most the paint protections dealers sell you is just a money spinner. I used to work for a dealer who charged 800 for paint protection and we bought it in a bottle that you could almost do 2 cars for $24. It took just over 30 mins to apply. not a bad way to increase profits!!

My thoughts on paint protection are clay, polish and wx your car at the start of every weather season(summer, autumn, winter,spring)

Any Brissy members who need good quality detailing and buffing, shampooing etc etc done come and see me at work at the Hand Wash Cafe at Bowen Hills.

Lose the 45 series tyres and get 40's. Never had a scrub on my car at all.

Brissy guys/girls are we interested in one thursday night doing dinner at an earlier time?? Cafe manager at work has a pizza/pasta bar in town and after speaking to him about it he would be more than happy for TOCAU members to come in on a thursday night. He said he would even keep the kitchen open later for us if need be.

Show your expression of interest and I will set a date for perhaps next thurs or the one after.

All sportivo's were built in SA. Only Runx's were built in Japan from what i understand.

All 1ZZ's were also built in Japan as well. Anybody clarify this??

Are you comparing a Sportivo to a 1ZZ??
