  1. Bringing this thread back from the dead, have you got any steps / instructions for removing the instrument cluster?
  2. Experienced the exact same problem mentioned. Found it would occur/be worse during certain weather conditions e.g. Very cold / very hot. After reading through many others experiences and attempted fixes, I dropped into the local supercheap auto and bought a can of white lithium grease for $9.95. Sprayed some just around the area where the steering shaft enters the rubber boot before the firewall. Have not heard the noise ever since! P.s- supercheap auto and repco store reps had both specifically recommended the lithium as it won't deterriorate the rubber boot. Hope this helps anyone with the same problem :)

  4. Hi All, Just performed an oil change this morning and noticed a new leak beside the oil filter. Wondering what the part is (see picture). My concern is that it is the known issue with the vvt oil hose leak. If that is the case, I will be looking to have it replaced asap with the updated metal hose.
