  1. Hi, I have some how managed to 'pop' a bit of trim panel out on the dash just above the cigarette lighter - I tried to push it back in, but it pops back out again, so I'm thinking I'll take the whole bit out, then put it back in and see if I have any joy.. However.. I can't get it free. I've taken the surround off from around the headunit (knew how to do that as I did the stereo), but I've never taken anything lower than that apart before.. I haven't found any screws to get the surround free, however it does seem to be lose - just caught on something.. Any ideas? Its a '98 (AE100?) corolla.. Thanks in Advance :)
  2. Heres a few photos.. I've already had to cut the extra mounting points off the speakers.. which may need to be tidied up a bit, so just ignore that :)
  3. Hi All.. I believe this to be my first post here downgraded from a 4Runner to a Corolla a few weeks ago, and have set about upgrading things such as the stereo and adding keyless entry :) I've gotten to the rear speakers, I've picked up some Alpine 5x7's which are a little 'chunkier' than the factory ones.. I'm just wondering if anyone has modified that steel oval/ring that the original ones were mounted to in order to fit slightly larger speakers and if so, how'd you go about it? I'm just thinking of cutting a portion out of it.. but if someone has done it or has a better suggestion - i'm all ears :)
