G'day everyone, I just joined the forum today as a long term Toyota owner, and it's great to find a community of like minded Toyota owners.
At the moment I am driving a 2001 Magnetic Silver Toyota Camy Azura V6, and what an absolute gem of car (I'd say it has been the best car I have ever owned).
I found it on carsales in November of last year, and how is this for good fortune, when I purchased it from Sydney City Lexus/Toyota (they are same dealership), it had only done 74,000km and better still it is a one owner car (the original owner was a doctor), and it came with the log books fully up to date. Also the original owner serviced the car religiously every 10,000km at Sydney City Toyota, except for the 70,000km service which was done by another mechanic. The sale price was $8,000, but I talked the price down to $7,500, bear in mind these cars were around $42k new.
Presently, the car has done 85,700km, and it runs like its brand new, the 3.0 Litre V6 Lexus engine (the same one used in the Lexus ES300), and it is as smooth as silk, the air conditioning is brilliant (ice cold in summer, and very warm in winter), and the 4 speed automatic changes seamlessly and is probably one of the best changing autos I have driven. The cruise control works perfectly, the standard Fujitsu sound system pumps out good sound for a basic factory system, and overall the car is very well designed. Even the motoring writers said that it was probably one of the best Camrys ever made,
