    I have not read the other comments. I once displayed personalised plates with my namesake on them - caused tonnes of problems, so when they occured, I drove straight to the nearest police station. Funny how no one followed me in. Waste of time though. I still have the plates - I just dont display them.

    I will admit that i was looking at importing a Chaser at one stage - they are amazing cars. Just figured that I didnt need a car that size. Final thought - poor excuse! I wish you well to use it!

    I still have all the details. The problem was that I was not in one location long enough to be of much use. If there is some interest in getting some in, I'm happy to try again, and if someone else wants to take the reins, I can pass the info on. Tell me what you think!

    My opinion on Galleria Toyota: My mum-in-law had a flat battery, and I called in to them to ask them for the battery specifics (thinking I could get a cheaper battery from Supercheap etc). 3 of them in the parts dept could not figure out which battery would do. Not even their self-proclaimed 'parts interpreter'. I would not trust my bicycle with them.

    I have the vaguests of recollections that a TOCAU person tried this and FUBAR'd that whole thing up - needed to replace the whole thing... Cunne remember too well though

    Mine too - I have removed the snorkel. Just add a bit more fuel to the mix and all is right with mine. Might require a little more clutch work, but it settles down quickly.

    They claim to honour manufacturer warrantees, though I don't know about the ins-and-outs of that. I can tell you that every time I have taken a vehicle to UT, they have come back in worse condition.

    I recently read the 'something' and lemon guide, which seemed to indicate one of the bigger problems for the Corolla is that it ejoys burning oil. The suggestion was to have it changed religiously. It's a good car/engine if that's the bigger of a few snags.

    I also think it improved as the season went on, though in total i think i watched 3 episodes. I am, however, eagerly anticipating the awe inspiring return on the original. Screw TGAus for putting the Elan on the 'what were they thinking' list. Damn them.

    1 month ago in Kalgoorlie, the temp was about 36 degrees. On sunday it was 10 degrees. Perhaps a big diff in air temp? (I only read the first post)
