Kenneth - damn you have a good memory! Yep, I as given a warning whilst driving in Kalamunda very late at night. It was so dark I could barely see the sides of the road, which were better illuminated with the spottie/foggie thingys. The police disagreed, and suggested I use high beam instead. Okaaaay, that makes sense! Apparently the rule (in WA) is thus: you can only have 1 pair of light sources on at any one time. So you have have your driving lights on, but not fogs, OR you can have your park lights on AND fogs. Hope this helps.
