  1. I bought it on ebay. it was $220. There were also cheaper aftermarket ones. Toyota wanted $380 for the sensor and $700 installed.
  2. The code was P0051 I replaced the sensor with a new Denso sensor. The error code has gone away now. The front sensor is a fairly easy swap over.
  3. My 150k 2008 Aurion check engine light has come on. My code scanner says bank 2 Oxygen sensor. This is the front one I believe. I intend to swap it with a new one. There's another one on the rear bank, and one post catalytic converter. Do people change them all in one hit if they start failing? Or one at a time? The front one looks easy to access. What about the others? Are they hard to get to?
  4. OK, I took it to Toyota. The code wasn't C1201 ABS Module as Midas told me, the code was in fact P1660 Air Bleed Circuit Malfunction . Toyota found a loose/damaged wire around the manifold, and the problem now appears resolved. I think MIDAS were telling me stories. See, when I originally returned to Midas I told them the dash error lights come on around the same time the ABS performs it's "Clunk clunk" self diagnosis when you start driving. I suspect they heard "ABS" and decided to run with that. I suspect Midas damaged a wire during their original service, and then it didn't show up on the dash until I completed a driving cycle. Very dissapointed with Midas Chatswood over this. Given they didn't bleed the brakes I suspect they did nothing much at all for the $500 I paid them, aside from possibly damage my intake wiring.
  5. Hi, I have a 2008 Aurion. I just had the 150k service done at a local midas, which included fuel filter swap, brake fluid flush, oil and filter change. About 100kms after the service the check engine light came on., and the VSC error. Never had any warning lights prior to that in the 50,000km ive owned it. I took it back to the shop and they read off code C1201 ABS module. They flushed brakes again (the fluid was still quite dirty leading me to wonder what they did first time around), reset the system, and the code went away. The code came back again after about 10km after leaving Midas. The brakes seem fine, and ABS functions when I stamp the brakes, but the check enginer and VSC errors persist on the dash. The mechanic said if it came back to try replacing the ABS module, but I'm not sure he knows what's going on, so I'm reluctant to take it back, and not sure where to go from here. Any hints? Who can properly diagnose this for me? Should I take it to Toyota? Thanks.
  6. I had to cut a hole for the tongue to go through. Mine is the stock bumper bar. I think it's a bit different for yours. This page has links to installaltion manuals, including cutting of the bumpers. http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/topic/32487-aurion-trailer-wiring-info/
  7. $190 for 2nd hand toyota towbar and wiring harness. You can get cheapies installed for $400, and good ones installed for $800+ I agree, and will try to find these parts. I've already towed a 500kg trailer with it now, and it was fine. It's already stronger than most of the 1200kg aftermarket trailer kits. However I will install these braces if I ever need to tow a heavy load.
  8. Hi, I just bought an Aurion towbar from a wrecker for my Aurion 2008. It looks like this: I've installed it now, but upon completion I realised they didn't give me the Chassis Braces, shown below: How necessary are these things? They're pretty flimsy amd I'm struggling to understand what they actually do? Tom
