Hi guys,
Trying to get my new alpine SPS-410 4" speakers into the existing speaker box thats in the dash of my ZVZ21 1992 camry
So the good news is the existing mounting holes are the same size as the speakers.
The bad news is the mounting box which the speakers are installed in is too shallow for this new speaker.
Would i have sound distortion/issues if i gutted the back of the box to make it fit? Also the existing hole is not entirely covered by the new speaker, is this an issue as well?
Would have to cut this annoyingly shaped box like so:
