AsankaK replied to snakesau's topic in Corolla / Corolla Sportivo Club
Keen to possibly upgrade my clutch too; has anyone come across Xtreme HD clutches (from clutch industries im pretty sure); seem to be similar to exedy HD and can get them cheap via work so considering getting one! (Part R1148NHD) -
Also feel free to take a look at some of my videos to see how we do it in WA :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kGkLUDdYoUo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=64uf8xOV1c8

So over time I felt the need to upgrade suspension/exhaust I looked into getting both done professionally but was driven away by the prices I ended up finding a cheap axle-back cannon and fitting it Ended up being too loud so I pulled it off, and installed King Lows with a friend ($293 for springs from Veale) Incredibly happy with the way the car has turned out, will look for a not so loud exhaust but am happy with the way it is :)

After looking for a reasonably fast/sporty, practical car which I could take on a track occasionally as well as daily drive to uni. I decided to buy this MY05.5 Corolla Sportivo which I bought in September 2014. The car was in awesome condition with low kms for an awesome price! I decided to keep the car as factory and enjoy the car until I realise what needs modifying. The car was totally standard apart from a K&N filter which I cleaned out asap Obligatory MightyCarMods Sticker!! I'm pretty happy with the performance, the 2ZZ really sings when it hits lift but the suspension is a little boaty as well as quite tall, to be fixed at a later time when money permits! I already had a subwoofer and amp so I went out and bought a DDIN DVD headunit; I also came across some DVD headrests at work for $40 each so I took two of them and installed it all! I also installed DRLs and White bulbs/LEDs \ Overall im really happy with the stivo Stay tuned for more :)

Yeeah I wasnt really wanting power gains, just liked the sound of a pod filter so I guess ill just have to leave it all standard :/

inb4 "Besides getting better quality tyres" Tyres make a HUGE difference to the way the car handles, before I had cheap chinese tyres on a 2007 camry ateva (Auction car, tyres were already on it) Got fed up with the car slipping under engine load/rain so changed the tyres to original dunlops and MAN it made a huge difference... just my 2c

You have to align each wire on the www.the12volt... website from the toyota side to the kenwood harness, so speaker + on the toyota harness to speaker + on the kenwood harness etc
-
Haha I bought this Headunit on boxing day sales for a steal and installed it recently too, I just left that wire because I couldnt be stuffed finding a 12v which switched with the lights so I just left it unused and taped up properly. The unit isn't too bright at night anyway so I guess it shouldnt be a problem but its up to you

Sprayed hubcaps black, installing Head unit, Subwoofer and amp as I type (finding it really hard to get power wire through the firewall) Planning to do Daytime running lights under fog light housing soon, not much else for now :)

found some off a mate, making them Blaaaack tomorrow :)

Plastidip is like $30 a can and itll take 2 to do all 4 so thats $60 Or I can get another set of hubcaps for less and spray them black myself (And in my opinion real gloss black paint looks better than the matte black plastidip)
