  1. Called a few dealerships today. Prices for the key blanks range from $80 to $95 each...what a rip! Has anyone bought one for cheaper? One of my mate's relatives works at Toyota. I'm going to see if he can get an employee discount but not sure if that stretches to spare parts as well?
  2. I bought a couple of Smart Key remotes off eBay for our Presara. They did not come with the key blanks that slot into the side of the remotes. Can these be bought separately from Toyota? Also, is it possible to program these myself or do i need to take them down to my Toyota dealer along with the car?
  3. Our Presara also suffers from the dreaded A/C vent leaf rattle Picked up the car from Nunawading Toyota (Doncaster branch) today after having the 15,000km service carried out. The service advisor said Toyota are releasing a new A/C vent next month (currently undergoing 30,000km of testing). So the car will be back at the dealer probably in July to have the new vent installed.
  4. Our Presara is also making a leaf rattle noise and upon further investigation i could see one of the fins in the centre dash vent rattling about when the fan speed is set to high. Will have the dealer look at it at the next service.
  5. Our Presara has 35% metallic tint all round and it doesn't affect the GPS or phone system in any way. Tinted by The Tint Professor for $240.

  8. Robert's a good man. He sold us our LandCruiser in 2003. He still remembers his customers which is a good sign :)

  10. Hi guys...newbie here. Just wanted to share my Dobinsons expereince with you. I don't have their springs on my RAV4 but i do have their strut inserts and shocks that go well with my 35mm King Spring lowering springs. They also make 35mm lowering springs for RAV4 (which i think King Spring uses)? Anyways, they are a good bunch of people and their products are very good. I have spoken to the head of Dobinsons personally and he's got your interests at heart. BTW, here is a pic of one of our RAV4OZ.com members with Dobinsons lowering springs in his RAV :)

    Pod filters

Best thing to do, as others have said is to shield the pod from heat and run cold air to it. This is what i've done (in a RAV4 not a Celica, but the same principle) ;)
  12. You might be better off buying a second hand tyre/wheel and taking it with you if finding a new one is gonna be difficult in the bush ;)
