  1. It's fixed!!! The guy fixed it free of charge as well so can't complain
  2. For now I'm just going for looks. I wanted to keep focus on the interior for now as I've just had a head unit and front speakers installed. I'm looking at getting a push button start kit installed then not too sure how much more mods can be done to the interior. It will be on to the exterior once I get my rear bumper fixed/replaced. Definitely need to do something about my wheels, they are currently some el cheapo hub caps. I've been eyeing off the atlas rim. I wanted to keep it somewhat looking stock on the outside
  3. Thanks for the tip. I will see how I go tomorrow with the guy who installed my head unit and will go from there I did try this after watching a video on how to do this as I am in no way good with cars. I only had some thin cardboard handy and this did not work. I will have to give it a go with the sand paper. Cheers
  4. Forgive my ignorance- I had to google what a sway bar is . I may be wrong, but that seems like something for someone who is really into cars..... I'm not quite there yet and want to start off small. First before I do anything I have to get my rear bumper repair and my drivers door- was hit by a trolley guy at a shopping centre. I want to be able to mod my car but make it look stock at the same time. I want to change the wheels and head unit Thanks for your input.....keeps the ideas coming
  5. Hi, As some of you may have read, I am new here and new to modding. I have had a look though some of the threads showing of your cars and its given me some inspiration. I have changed the stock head unit and also added a reverse camera, but I think that was kind of an impulse buy as I'm now looking at adding the 2014 zre182 head unit along with its steering wheel (if thats possible). Where should I start with modding? I know I want to add fog lights at some stage but as far as anything else goes I have no idea. Also quick question if anyone knows the answer: What is more cost effective getting a brand new rear bumper and painting and installing? repairing the paint work on the bumper currently on my car OR gettting a used bumper from a wreckers and installing it myself, therefore no paint needed? Any in put is appreciated
  6. I have a similar problem although mine started after having a new head unit installed. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it as I don't know much about cars. Like some here, mine was originally intermittent and now my dash lights- including air con controls etc and gear assembly lights, instrument cluster lights and tail lights don't work at all. Will be getting things checked with the guy who installed the head unit and then go from there. If anyone has any other ideas as to the cause-advice is much appreciated. I also checked the fuses and they seem fine
  7. Sorry didn't realise I had posted more than once, I am using the site from my phone
  8. Hi, I've had my corolla 08 model for a few years now- I wasn't the first owner. Only recently wanted to do a few mods to it, nothing major. I've already changed the head unit but have been having problems ever since. Just joined here to gain more knowledge and read up on other peoples mods. Also have a quick question for anyone that knows- will a 2014 steering wheel with steering controls and the 2014 head unit with screen fit in my corolla and have full use of the steering controls? Thanks for any help
