  1. Did you purchase this car secondhand? If so, you are most probably not subscribed to TL. Phone Toyota Link and they will be able to tell you what you need to know.
  2. Wow. Programming the remote. That is better than putting wear and tear on the actual memory buttons for driving position...
  3. I have just purchased an 02/ 2008 Presara. The engine temperature needle is sitting at exactly halfway. Is this normal please? I am used to my vehicles sitting at a lot less than this.
  4. I posted this on another topic about cup holders. Bunnings (and other places) sell this rubber, open weave stuff by the roll. It stops everything from moving. I use it in the car and around the house. Comes in various colours. I have never thought about putting it under a car mat, but it would work. It is very inexpensive, so you could cut it the same shape as your mat.
  5. I had the same problem with a European vehicle. Glue leaching out of the plastic. I fixed the problem by making a paste of Bicarbonate and water and brushed on with a clean nailbrush. Add water slowly so you don't make the paste too runny. Put a drop sheet on the floor first tho, because it can get a little bit messy when the paste starts dropping off and you will need to rinse. After you have brushed it on, simply wipe over with a wettish, clean cloth to remove the Bicarbonate paste and repeat until the dash is clean. No more stickiness. Natural solution that should not harm the plastic. Didn't hurt the Euro car.
  6. Better than foam is the stuff you can buy on the roll at Bunnings. Non slip stuff you can also use all over the house to stop things moving. It's a rubber type open weave thing. If you cut a piece to fit the whole cup holder - remove the centre. After you've put it in, when you replace the centre that will also be stable. It's only thin stuff. Nothing moves when it is sitting on this stuff. You don't have to line the whole space. Just the bottom.
  7. Yes ash, the 2008 Presara (I just bought one) does come with the auto antiglare mirror. As for where you can get one, I would suggest a wrecking yard or ebay. You could get lucky.
  8. Hello. I am confused about the Smart Entry and Smart Start. I have only had the vehicle 2 days and I have read the Owners Manual all the way through. What I do not understand is where to keep the Smart Key - like not within a metre of a TV, PC, etc. Okay, I understand that, but it is the battery drain on the car I do not understand. How far away should the key be to not put a drain on the car battery? Should I get the Smart Entry disabled to stop this? As I said, I have read the Manual - and on this point, over and over, but I still don't understand what the requirements are. Please help... Thankyou.
