  1. Hi. I own a 2004 Camry Grande. I had a genuine Toyota 1200 kg tow bar removed and a new 1600 kg Hayman Reece towbar installed at Maitland Auto Parts for under $800:00 to tow my pop top. The only "hitch" was removing the bumper bar to remove the Toyota tow bar and replacing same. I am very happy with the job and now have a genuine Toyota bar to sell. Cheers Glen.
  2. Hi. I'm not looking for the mirror one but either one on top of the dash or, Polaris are advertising one that plugs into the Camry - in dash- GPS for $250:00 plus fitting. I don't know fitting costs and if they are any good. Still looking. Cheers Tocag.
  3. Hi Muz bar, I too am still looking. I'll let you know if I come up with something. Cheers Tocag.
  4. Hi Stephanie and welcome. I owned one a while back and it was a very good car. I hope you have a good run with it. Cheers Tocag.
  5. It would appear I'm back to square one. Anyone with a constructive input that will get me towards a reversing system? Cheers Tocag.
  6. Thanks for your reply. May I ask what type you purchased, fitting, price and any other relevant information? Your response was, and is, most appreciated. Cheers Tocag.
  7. Hi. I would appreciate your comments on which to fit to my 2004 Camry Grande, pros and cons for each. I had an argument with a steel post and decided I need one. Does the sat nav connect to a camera or is it too old a model? As I'm a pensioner I am not in the position where the sky is the limit. Looking forward to your feedback. Thanks Tocag.
  8. Ash. When I was younger I would take the door trims off and paint inside the door and my wife used to hate me as the car stunk for ever. The doors didn't rust but she sure stunk, the car that is. I used to take the vinyl floor up and lay carpet or under felt under it. I didn't have much trouble with rust but the cars got a good hose up and under every time we visited the beach. This brings back good memories. What about a Corona Lounge? Cheers Tocag.
  9. Hi. What I know of fish oil is it is a thickish liquid in a can and is a light brownish colour. It also comes in a spray can and both smell for ages of fish. I don't know of any coloured like paint. It would have to dry like paint as fish oil remains tacky or the one I know does. I reckon the front of the car on the wall would look great and a fantastic talking point. I've seen Holden back ends, seat made into a lounge. Something else to consider. Tocag.
  10. I am looking forward to seeing the finished product. Good luck. Tocag.

    Window tinting

Thanks for your replies. I will have to make sure of the tinting contents Tocag.
  12. Hi. I am considering having the windows of my Camry tinted. As the GPS and radio aerials are in the rear widow I was wondering if there is adverse affects to the Gps and radio. I would like to hear from members that have done it or know of the affects of doing same. Many thanks Tocag.
  13. I'm an old car lover and don't want to let on how many cars I've had. I've owned four Toyotas during my driving time - the first a '85 Toyota Corona CS wagon,'93 Toyota Camry CSI, "02 Toyota Avalon Conquest and now the Camry Grande. Two of my daughters had '88 and ;98 Corollas and a '70 Corolla Seca. All were good reliable cars though the first 4 had a bit better care than the others. I'm looking forward to some interesting reading and help on some subjects. Cheers.
  14. Hi all. I own a Camry Grande 2004 and looking at getting window tinting done. I've read this may affect the GPS signals. Where is the aerial located and has anyone else done this job on a vehicle like this? Thanks for your help. TOCAG. I have found out that the aerial is in the back window but would like to hear if anyone has added tint to the window and what affects it had to the radio and sat. nav. Cheers TOCAG
