  1. Hey all, I have a 2004 Toyota Yaris with the OEM head unit. I'm wondering if it's possible to install an auxiliary? I've done a search on this forum and the web, I have found it's possible on certain head units that have RCA plugs but I'm not sure if these are on the Yaris head unit? Does anyone have anymore information that has possibly replaced there head unit or done the same job maybe?
  2. Gday I have a 2009 Toyota Hiluz 1kd-ftv I have been wanting to wire in a 15watt flood light to my reverse lights because I cant see much at all out the back at night when trying to reverse. I was just thinking of wiring it in parallel with the lights that are already there. Or should I run a new circuit. And does anyone have any recommendation's for Steel Tray builders on the eastern side of Melbourne?
  3. The fault light was the electrical wiring fault light. I had wired the lights positively switched, Toyota's for some reason are negatively switched.
  4. Hah yeah I haven't bothered calling them. I found someone who claims to be selling genuine parts and after further research it checks out. If any one has had any luck with the seller let me know. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/330880183284?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
  5. Hi Manxman thanks for replying! I have a puller for the job. I am an apprentice outdoor power equipment mechanic what tools I don't have I can borrow from work. I was looking at manuals I found this one http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/171284584890 this seems to have all the chapters I require and its the cheapest :D I was thinking of buying the water pump from Toyota I haven't been quoted a price yet but we will see. Belts, Pulleys etc. I can get from suppliers through work.
  6. Gday, I have a 2008 SR5 Turbo Diesel Dual Cab Hilux. I recently installed driving lights and I noticed some radiator fluid on the engine pulleys, it looks as though the water pump is leaking but I can't see a lot because its in the engine. Is it a major job to repair? Or should I take it to a Toyota dealership
  7. Hey all, I am the proud owner of a relatively new 2008 Toyota Hilux. I have had it for around 3 months been on one 2500km trip and loved every minute of it! Modifications so far: 1. Alloy bullbar came with the car I was going to upgrade to a steel bullbar but after some research I am more impressed with the design intent of aluminium vs steel 2. Injection moulded HDPE box fits perfectly in the tub and leaves a good gap for 3 jerrys. 3. BF All Terrains. 4. IPF 800 drivings lights. I fitted the lights today with the supplied wiring loom from IPF and they work a treat but the warning light for an electrical fault has come on since I have wired them. I checked all my wiring and made sure everything was done the way described in the instruction leaflet. I am a minor motor mechanic I have some experience in wiring but not a great deal. I am out of ideas as to what to check.
