  1. Totally understand the "safety feature" but I'm asking if any one else has the drivers side mirror this way (objects closer than they appear in the mirror) and the passengers mirror normal. Just strange that every other car I've driven has the warning "objects closer than they appear" on the passenger mirror. None of my mirrors even have the warning even though I know, and it's obvious that the drivers side is affected in this way. I really think they've fitted mirrors intended for the American market. Just wondering if any one else has noticed this?
  2. I'm a knob. Should have looked at those pics you posted first. Might have to get under the car now and check the right hose. I was thinking of the VVT-i hose I saw in another post.
  3. I was reading about this problem last night and was wrapped when I checked my '07 and saw a yellow stripe running longitudinally on the rubber section near the top pipe fitting. Looks like a prick of a job access wise to change it. Glad I dont need to now. Good to hear nothing was damaged Hilly.
  4. Hi everyone. My first "real" post other than in the introductions. Does anyone else have the same problem of objects in the drivers side mirror appearing further away than they really are? I'm pretty sure the AU Falcon I had years ago was passengers side appears further, driver side normal which is the opposite to my Presara. Maybe this is a Toyota stuff up because exported ones were supposed to be this way due to some countries having the driver on the left? Other wise, LOVE the car. To think I was nearly going to get a 380 TRX....... phhhtttt.
  5. I've been trolling this forum for a while now because it seems to come up often while "researching". I finally made my decision and purchased an '07 Aurion Presara on friday then signed up on here last night. Absolutely LOVE the car. Biggest, most exciting thing for me was no worry of timing belt changes. Before I bought it my wife didn't understand when I'd randomly blurt out "it's got a timing chain!" A bit about myself. Name's Michael, I maintain flying things, love two wheeled things and live in the Lockyer Valley, Qld.
