  1. Hi Muz Bar,

I just wanted to thank you for posting the step by step guide on how to fix a faulty digital clock on the Camry. I too had the issue and I was going to check with wreckers for 2nd hand clock to replace it and then just thought of looking at the Camry forum. I followed your steps and the 1st time no luck and then I re-touched those points as you've mentioned and it worked ! I had to buy the soldering iron and a hexagon screw driver (total came to about $30) and a bit of my time.

    Thank you again !

    Regards,

    Udi

  2. I'm glad that helped, i got told the same about the wreckers and auto electrician. does not take long at all and quite easy.
  3. Have you ever driven a car with no power steering before? Its hard to say what could be wrong. I would just start a check list and start from wheels to steering wheel and eliminate every moving part. Sorry i cant help.
  4. Just think about doing a timing kit and water pump all at the same time. Cost more to do in one go but saves you alot if you do it seperately. I normally do it when i think my water pump is on its way out about 100000kms to 140000kms is the max ive got from a few different cars.
  5. Well i think your probably on the money with injectors or spark plugs. Check the spark plugs first then leads. Put some injector cleaner in the petrol. Could the car have overheated? Lossing pressure with gasket damage.
  6. Sorry mate, but that will bea hard one. I tried to find a e version i didnt have it or the net. Maybe look or talk to haynes
  7. No idea, white smoke on start up could be orings? Black smoke is a diesel thing but you would know that. Maybe the mechanic made a mistake. Is the white smoke only on start up or the whole time? Maybe coolant getting in the engine though a warped/cracked head. Is there a smell in the smoke. http://www.thetirechoice.com/blog/post/2012/01/23/Smoke-Signals-The-Causes-of-Tailpipe-Smoke.aspx Maybe talk to different mechanics, sorry dude. Take pictures or a video and throw them up.
  8. Diff? Im not sure. So it only happens when turning? Is it at high or low speeds? Does it happen when your braking or braking on a turn?
  9. I personally dont know what size is max, But if 18" is possible it would look awesome buy your tyres will cost you alot as well as you will lose ride comfort. If your ever driving pass a wheel shop drop in and see what they say. If not go to carid.com Put some pictures up!
  10. It's probably easier to try go AWD then to go from fwd to rwd. How did you go did you end up talking to a automotive engineer ? If so what price and what was needed to be done? Maybe a supra axle?
  11. Welcome Aaron, enjoy your ol gal. Throw pictures up when you can.
  12. Yeah i think you might be right trent.
  13. That looks good, how much for that the site didnt have any pricing.
  14. Random, im guessing the dash has been changed and not fully in place. Sorry i cant really help.
