Scarlet

Hello All, I need your advice regarding my Tarago with a rear step bar. I was reversing slowly (around 5kph) and hit a small steel post. The impact pushed the rear step bar forward and is now touching the rear bumper. Displacement is approximately 2 inches. Apart from cosmetics, should I be worried about any major damage? (i.e. chassis damage?) There's no visible damage even at the part where the bar is bolted. Is the bar meant to absorb some displacement? Thanks for your advice!
