  1. Hi all I have a 1996 Toyota Hilux, RWD, 2.4L 22R. I'm looking to put a larger horsepower engine in it as it's not really big in that category. I would like to either put a rotary in it, but I would prefer to keep a Toyota engine in it as I would like it to bolt straight to the original transmission. And the engine has to be 4cyl as there is no room for 6. My question is: What is the best engine for this? Am I better off rebuilding the 22R and maybe turbocharging it? Thanks guys
  2. Where abouts on the carpet is it wet?
  3. Hey guys I'm looking to fuel inject my 22r. I was wondering if any one knows how this can be done. Cheers
  4. It's worth a try mate. Should keep it cooler at 100
  5. Ok then you maybe should add a coolant additive like purple ice or cool-it which keep the radiator fluid cool. Hence there names
  6. Well I wouldn't go any faster than 100 Do you just have water in your radiator?
  7. Well my engine can pass easy on the highway so
  8. Well I have a 96 lux and it's a 4 cyl 22r which I was going 110 km/hr the other day and it was only doing 3000 rpm and stayed cool.
  9. Just over half on the gauge is not bad. The reason why it is overheating is because you are going flat out. The engine can't make the car go any faster so it's obviously revving its neck out which is not good. That can lead you too blowing your engine up. It's like you trying too sprint a marathon!!!!!!
  10. So how do you adjust the torsion bars?
  11. It could be that you have a hole in your exhaust or muffler.
  12. Hi Guys I am wanting to raise the front of my 1996 4x2 Hilux. It has shock absorbers and torsion bars. What has to be done to raise it? Cheers
