  1. You have to be joking. Do you think that ppl in the forum are idiots. Can you aford to be without a car for a month? Beside what do you do if issues start popping up after 12 months or so? Like anything with warranty?
  2. I did indeed and it was fault free We are talking maybe $500.00 compared to $40,000, it's not comparing apples with apples. As i have said previously, if Toyota Australia or Jarvis Toyota did the right thing and exchanged the car when rightfully requested i wouldnt be here bagging out the halfwits. Its like anything mechanical/electrical. Things can break down, nothing is fault free. But it is no individuals fault. My Rav 4 died at 1 week old. Sunday night, side of the motorway in the middle of no where. My car didn't get replaced. I didn't even get a courtesy car. And they had it for a week and i was in a different state at the time and had nothing. But at the end of the day. It wasn't they guy behind the counters fault. $h** happenes.
  3. Welcome Congrats on passing ur test. Gotta love the Rav.....ur doing well to only have 50000k's on it. Mine is 10 months old and i've already done 30000. ARGH :o
  4. Safety Pack will be the best investment. Worth that bit extra for peace of mind.
  5. I'd settle for the YRS if you can't stretch ya budget. If your getting finance, look seriously at stretching your budget. We looked at the YRS, and went for the YRX Sedan with the saftey pack. Was worth the few dollars extra a week in finance for my partner. She is much happier with it. Its auto aswell and paid a bit over $24k. Notice nothing in repayments though.

    RAV4 V6

I think I just see one demo in the local dealership. Will they still offering test drives? How about at WA? I collected my sx6 rav4 , 7 days ago in WA. After trading in cruiser, only 5 months old....upgrade worth every cent. Quick is an understatement! After doing a journey to margret river, fuel economy was pretty good...just watch that heavy foot though .... as 200 killer wasps throws you and your passengers back...it will give you a buzzzz .avg 10 litres per 100km so far. early days still! Trading in 5mths old, i bought my Cruiser L in Feb, would love to change it to the ZR6. Did you loose a lot on trade? How many k's did u clock up. I've done 28000k's already.
  7. > >>> I will just tell him it is factory option and they will believe me. They prob will. Not as funny though as a time I was with a mate who got pulled over in a Lancer. Policeoffice shinned his touch on the back tires and asked if we'd been doing burn outs as it was a bit worn. Politly my friend tilted his torch to the front tires and said "Front Wheel Drive Mate" We on our way after that.
  8. hi, I picked up my accent 2 weeks ago from terry shields in parramatta. I also got the advanced safety pack. I did however also got the rear power windows added and also alloys. One thing I don't understand, I was told by the dealers that toyota do not install factory alarm systems and that I need to go t some place like Strathfield etc to get one after market Obviously, i should have asked around. Which brings me to wonder...why would they say something like that and lose out on even that little bit extra money that a customer is willing to spend??? I had the same response back in 04 with my Corolla Levin. Didn't end up bothering. Makes you wonder though why they wouldn't offer it.
  9. Thanks, I'll be sure to let you know how I go
  10. Thanks for the post. Looking in the book I need the following bulbs, but Autobarn didn't seem interested in helping. I might need to try another store. Low Beam - H11 55W High Beam - HB3 60W Fog Lights - H11 55W Park - Wedge Base Bulb 5W
  11. I'm thinking about changing the lights on my Rav4 to those whiter appearing lights. The whole lot, like high and low beam, fog lights etc. What do I need to buy? Is it evan possible/legal? Thanks for you input. Mike
  12. Nice car! Congrats on a great car.
  13. Most of the ones I seem to come across are all rentals.
  14. Government departments will start snapping them up for fleet, so Either way I don't think things are slowing down for the AT-X Apparently queensland police have a Aurion fleet. They've also just bought one TRD up there. rumours have it that there will be a TRD cop floating around doncaster pretty soon. QLD Police have picked up quite a few Aurions. Mostly SX6's. Using them marked and un-marked. Saw a Green Unmarked one the other day.
  15. We've just taken delivery of the new Corolla Conquest Sedan (it replaced an '05 Corolla Conquest Hatch). The 6 speed manual is much better than the old 5. I was always looking for the extra gear when I had my '04 Levin, and getting into the Conquest was the same. The new one however is really nice to drive. Being a Toyota Nut I've driven a lot of models in the range. The only complaint about the new Corolla Sedan is the legroom in the back, suprisingly its less than my partners Yaris YRX Sedan. I'm not joking. When your family looks to change their Camry Altise V6, you can't go past the Aurion. So much more get up and go than the previous 6. We had a Camry Sportivo V6, and it was awesome. Ours was manual and would love the Aurion Sportivo in a manual. One can only wish. We ended up going for the Kluger instead for its replacement. We are however changing our Camry Altise 4cyl to the new Aurion Touring.
  16. My other half swares by only putting in BP Ultimate in her car. Yeah it costs a bit more at the pump, but she seems to be constantly getting 600-650k's out of her tank. Now to sounds dumb - Is that good?
  17. I usually get a phone call from my other half when it flashes, in a panic, "I gotta get to the petrol station". LOL. Bluetooth handsfree in the Yaris YRX can be a little bit annoying. I'm even on speed dial from it!
  18. Congrats. They're a fantastic car. I just purchased a Yaris YRX Sedan (Silver) in August for my partner. I was unsure bout buying it at first because I was concerned she wouldn't want to drive it. She never drove her old car ('95 Proton Wira ) But she loves it. Its a great 2nd car for us, and the fuel economy on it is great. We only run it on BP Ultimate and its getting about 650k's a tank. How are you finding the digital dash? And the centred postion also? The sedan has the old needle dials, but still centered. I find I don't check my speed so much in it, but its better than the digital personally. We drove the hatch and the sedan before buying ours.
  19. You'll defiantly wont miss the Tidal Blue ones they stand out like sore thumbs! The Tidal Blue stands out like nothing else. I recently took our family KX-R AWD away on holidays with me and it definatly turned heads. Its fantastic on the highway and reported a nice 9.8L/100k's from the entire trip. Was blown away by it. I'm not a fan of the Centre Seat when loading it up on a trip from Newcastle to Sydney with a bunch of mates. Luckly its only a short trip. The foot brake doesn't seem to hold very well on ours, the car is only 2 months old, but already has 6500k's on it. I did see a Black Grande AWD the other day fully optioned with accessories, i though the Rear Parking Sensors were a bit of overkill, considering the fantastic reversing camera that is standard on the range. I find it an interesting challange in tight shopping centre car parks to go in forwards, but backing it in is a smooth motion with the camera, line it up and in we go. Camera shows the car behind you perfectly.
  20. We've just taken delivery of a Kluger KX-R AWD to replace an 04 Camry Sportivo V6. And the Speed Alert is one thing that is missing on it. The turning circle is really bad also on this car compared to the Rav 4 that I regularly drive. Much prefer the smaller Rav to the Kulger.
  21. The dealer that I had it towed to tried to charge me for towing, I refused to pay the $660 they were requesting. They forwarded it on to the dealer I bought it off in NSW. Took them 5 days to fix the problem and wasn't offered squat. It was taxi and catch a lift for the few days.
  22. I was driving home from work a few weeks ago, and an aurion caught my eye. It was a gold SX6, again though what took me by surprise was it also was an unmarked car with someone on the side of the road. I've also seen a black 380 vrx here on the coast too. When my brother was considering buying the 380, the guy told us QLD police had just purchased a fleet of them. I guess there getting a real variety, and taking everyone by surprise.
  23. Just wondered if anyone else has had a similar experience to mine. I recently took delivery of my new Rav 4 Cruiser L last week, and had problems this weekend, and ended up on the side of the Motorway with the car not kicking over. All the electrics shut down, and apparently it was to do with the tow package on the back, that a screw had gone through a wire, blowing a fuse, but leading to other complications as it was draining the battery. Couldn't believe it.
