  1. Hi, guys. I need advises urgently. i replaced my head unit with a kenwood DNN9350BT ON MY 2011 SPORTIVO SX6. EVERYTHING works fine except for the steering wheel control, the left side that controls the volume and mode works fine. but the right side 'display' which controls the fuel information on the dash didn't work at all. I called the shop, they insisted that they did everything perfect, so the fuel display only works with the factory head unit. are they being honest or just trying to get rid of the responsibility for doing ****ty work? Does anyone has experience with this? please help me, much appreciated! I will wait online....
  2. what custom front are you working on man? i would like some custom work too.
  3. that's a smart idea man. did you managed to get them installed? unfortunately, i don't think there will be any fog light panels in that market with a combined DRL for the 09-11 sportivos. maybe presara or prodigy could do it, but i think the sportivos have a different panel shape. so i'm planning to drill some holes and put those round dot ones near my fog lights. or i might cut the bumpers and fit one of these land cruiser DRLs. gotta wait a few days till my custom front lip is finished. mind show us pics when you finished your DRL work? http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a230r.1.14.26.XiEuH6&id=39988208995&ns=1&abbucket=10#detail
  4. thanks jeffy. now that i know i should keep them off on sunny days...
  5. i used to stay in brisbane and do a lot of highway miles. oNCE i drove down to melbourne, i managed to get 6.2L/100K. NOW I LIVE IN MEL FOR 1 YEARS, DID A LOT OF 40K/HR CITY DRIVING. last week i drove to brisbane again, the best i could get was 9L/100k. always use 98 petrol, now i'm not sure what cause the difference... maybe i need some oil change or new spark plugs...
  6. Hi, guys... im planning to install replace the bulbs to bright white ones for the two bottom lights in the front bumper... are they defined as fog lights or daytime running lights? isn't it illegal to turn fog lights on in normal weather conditions? i always turn them on but never get pulled over. now i'm not sure whether its because my original yellow ones aren't that annoying so the cops neglect it, or they are just DRLs so i'll never have a problem.
  7. Hi fellas. Has anyone succeed in putting a genuine TRD front bumper on a 2011 sportivo? because i've heard people saying that the 09-11 aurion is slightly different from 06-11 in terms of headlight shape. is that a confirmed fact? i'm so worried that if i bought the new bumper and it turns out that it will never fit on my car.
  8. i don't think there is anything wrong for trying to get your beloved car looks even better... i myself is planning to purchase a trd front from dealer as well... just not sure if it can be put on a 11 sportivo, because people say the face lift aurion 09-11 has different headlight shape so maybe there will be problem....
  9. mine has marks on it too. Bought some 3m vinyl wrap from supercheap auto. cost me $100. carbon fiber wrapped all panels inside the car, looks great. took me about 3 hrs to remove all the panels, wrap, and re install.
  10. Thank you @Kanmuri79 Totally agree... when it comes to mods, we should be cautious.....maybe fitment comes first, then is quality. otherwise its just a waste of money.... BTW i never thought that FRP BODYKITS WOULD HAVE A CHANCE TO CRACK DURING SHIPMENT, MAYBE EXTRA MONEY IS NEEDED TO PUT SOME PROTECTION ON THE KIT WHEN PACKING IT. A WOODEN BOX OR SOMETHING WITH FIRM STRUCTURE.... its good that you have the latest gen model, because there are so many bodykits and lightings avaliable in the market that are made of good materials..... mine on the other hand, is limited to the options that i post above....

  12. Thank for your information johnny. You are right, the Toyota dealer price is just rip off. With all that money, i can buy a set of replicas from overseas, have them fitted, cracked, and do it all over again for three times. Planning to keep my vehicle for maybe two more years, so that is why i struggle between the OEM and replica. Maybe more research should be done to the sellers because there are actually like a lot of people selling them. for the same body kit style, some are priced $100, some are like $1000. My friend had his BMW 528i fitted with bumpers from one of the sellers, buts its made of PP, and he said its good. As for the boot, thank you for your offer, but i think i'm ok with the current one because if i replace the boot, i might have to replace the tail light too.
  13. i think you can find them by google. the first result that comes out would be it. not sure though
