  1. Get yourself a Garmin GPS such as this: http://www.thegoodgu...PS_010-01001-34 Charges via the cigarette lighter and provides lifetime map updates (normally costs an additional $180 or so just for this maps deal). To make it stay on your dashboard, buy one of these: http://www.ja-gps.co...non-skid-mount/ I have this product for my Garmin GPS and it works fantastically. It doesnt matter how fast I take a corner the thing never moves. The bottom is rubber and the inside is weighted with little metal balls to keep it in place. Prior to purchasing this stand I used to suction my GPS to the windscreen and it would forever fall off and smash onto the dashboard.
  2. I purchased a new Corolla a couple of months ago in the run out sales prior to the new model being introduced. I got an automatic Tidal Blue ascent sport for $23,400 from Castle Hill Toyota. Happy I did not wait for the new model as I prefer the look of the car I purchased. Happy with the car so far. Not a huge fan of the raised gear knob lay out but I am getting used to this as time passes. Overall a good car that I would recommend.
  3. Oh and make sure you get the nuts from the sportivo wheels (best off calling toyota for a price if the seller doesnt have them). You cant use the nuts off your standard ascent rims to bolt these badboys on.
  4. I have Sportivo rims on my 06 ascent. Your better off buying the rims without tyres, so you can get some legal tyres for them. Im on Toyo Proxe4's 205/50/16, they were about 175 a corner.
  5. Good call JonRolla, I have had Toyo Proxes4 205/50/16 91V on my car for a couple of months now, and no complaints yet. However there is also a legal Yokohama for us non sportivo drivers. The Yokohama A.Drive R1, 205/50/16 91V. I got quoted about $180 a corner for each of these tyres when I purchased mine.
  6. Actually sorry to be a pain for leave me out for this buy, Im going to wait till the wheels that I have listed are sold, Im not exactly in the money at the moment. Cheers.
  7. M_M rooty hill is fine :) I would very much appreciate the assistance.
  8. Im interested in the blue ones in syd, but dont know the first thing about hooking the wires up. If im in, can anyone help me out? Im from Castle hill in Sydney. Im willing to meet up whereever in Sydney on a weekend or coming to someones house to get it done. Let me know, cheers!
  9. Can we please have contact details for this supplier, alot of us are in Syd as well. Thanks.
  10. When I purchased my insurance I was 21 years old, and it covered $22,500 with AAMI. I had a brand new Corolla Ascent hatchback. I pay $750 premium and I think $1100 excess for a claim. Once im 25+ the excess with drop to $500 or so. I did another quote, hypothetically if I lived in my girlfriends suburb. If i did, insurance would be $1500 premium, same excess. The area has a huge influence.
  11. Rolla boy you can have my stock wheels haha. Done 11,000kms each, 195/60/15 times 5 with hubcaps
  12. Is this even an issue worth really investigating lol? As someone said before, how often do you drive at 130+km/h?
  13. Haha if you are looking for gains, I think just dont buy a 1.5 litre yaris in the first place. They are made for economy, not insane power!
  14. I have been to some of these auctions before, I dont like them. You dont get a chance to drive the car, it might not even work! haha
