Of course I wouldn't be looking for a crap mechanic, eh? I own a 2005 SR5 3.0 Turbo Diesel 4WD, and want to find a good mechanic in my area. I have tried a few locally, but never really happy, the latest mechanic is giving me conflicting information from one service to the next. I understand that most of you here are probably into self-servicing and modifications... I just want to find a mechanic I can trust who knows what they are doing, doesn't charge the earth, and doesn't do unnecessary work. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi - I own a 2005 Hilux SR-5 Turbo Diesel, which has been running really well until recently. I'm not into modding or maintaining the car myself - there are people much better qualified than me to do that out there. I have joined the forum to become more informed about the vehicle, and to get recommendations for servicing in the inner north Melbourne area.
