  1. Car has been assessed (8/3/17) and dash has been placed on order w/ labour free of charge. Thanks.
  2. Thanks for the reply Helen, unfortunately i dont have any record of the conversation discussing the dash. Thanks for the advice and i shall join the group to see if it can provide any sort of further assistance. *EDIT: Upon further looking at old vehicle records i have found a service statement from Toyota saying the production date of my vehicle was 01/08/07, if anything i guess its somewhat promising but wont know fully until speaking in person.
  3. dammit, I asked them for a dash replacement 2 years ago and they wouldnt take ownership of the sticky dash issue. Now ive just found out they are taking them in but needs to be WITHIN 10 years?. I have a 2007 Aurion Zr6, do you think they'll do it for me? Will be calling up tomorrow.
  4. Hello, After installing both dash cam and reverse camera to my Zr6 Aurion i noticed that the Stock GPS Head unit on startup showed the one off factory setting boot up screen and my settings had been reset. Now when i use the GPS it doesnt track my vehicle nicely and north is always displayed on the top of the screen, whereas i had previously set it to turn according to where my vehicle is facing. Annoying that i need to look at things upside down when traveling south :(. I tried searching the forums as well as going through the GPS settings in car and i cant find where that setting has gone. Anyone know where i can find this setting again? Thanks in advance.
  5. Hmm ok, i'll pop out the head unit and double check the ports on the back again and go from there. Thanks :) Ah for some reason i didn't even consider doing that. Might give them a call since i need to book in the car for some recalls that it needs (hose + electrical swtich) THanks.
  6. Ok i'll give that a shot. So basically is any webcam i buy compatible to the aurion if i follow one of those guides i linked in the first post? or is their a specific cable/wire output i need to be looking for. I know that all the reverse cameras come with the power lead which you tap into the reverse light cable but not too sure about the visual feed cable i need.
  7. Hey guys as a lot of the threads on reverse cameras are dead w/ dead images im wondering what Current cameras are out there that i can purchase and self install? Preferably something i can install by following on of the following guides: http://aurioncamera.poirus.com.au/ I have a Zr6 2007 Aurion with factory Sat Nav. I dont mind buying from either ebay or any other website, if possible a range of products and prices would be nice for comparison. I would also prefer if the camera came built in with grid lines if its even possible. Thanks.
  8. ohhh right yeah i saw that setting before when i was playing around with the settings. Without the cable plugged it it lets me select from off, low, mid or high without any errors. Oh well doesn't really matter anyway, i'll get the Y cable and just have it connected regardless. Thanks for your help on this matter.
  9. Yeah i am leaning towards the Y cable. I did turn on the Sat nav without the stock cable plugged in and didnt initially see any errors or lost features. I know that my DVD in the sat nav is dodgy and will need to get another one as selecting a destination doesnt work. Once i have the DVD sorted and fixed i can then test to see if that factory plug was the external gps receiver or anything else gps related. I will purchase the Y cable however and just have them both running. UPDATE - I have fixed my Sat nav DVD and all the features seem to be working fine without that stock cable plugged it, very strange lol.
  10. I have already bought and installed ebay item: 191267507045 and is all working 100%. The only issue was i didnt really know what that existing stock cable was at the back of my head unit. May have to add them into the one plug or possible even buy something like this ebay item: 280778043151.
  11. Hey thanks for the response. No the car already has a stacker, its the small toyota 6+6 pin cable which is typically used to add iphone/usb music connectivity or a secondary music device. Diagram off Yatour: http://i01.i.aliimg.com/wsphoto/v0/1583617727_4/Yatour-TOY1-USB-CD-Changer-Digital-music-interface-adapter-SD-AUX-input-for-Camry-LS-5.jpg I'll work on getting an image shortly of the back the head unit. I believe that port sometimes gets occupied by having a GPS system so im not sure if its something to do with the factory sat nav side of things. *EDIT: Actually found an existing image of it on the interenet, i have circled the port in red. link: http://imgur.com/EFnMY0s
  12. Hey guys, been reading a lot of these forums in the lead up to my purchase of a second hand aurion. The plan so far was to add a music player via the CD changer port and apply carbon fiber decal along the middle console. The music player works great! only problem is the CD changer port was currently occupied by a clip with one wire coming out from it. Model and year - Aurion zr6 2007 Head Unit - Factory Touch Sat nav Mp3 changer - Yatour music changer Culprit cable - http://imgur.com/q3j9YFY So basically my question is what is this cable? is it required? (it doesnt change to anything when i click disc a 2nd time) do i need to buy a Y cable and split the connection? I Apologise from now incase i have missed an existing thread but i did have a quick look. Thanks.
