  1. I’ve got a 2005 Toyota Estima L with an oil leak. I live in a country town, and a local mechanic has quoted me $2300 to fix it. The quote says it has a leak from the front and rear crank seal, might need new rocker cover gaskets and timing seal. He says the engine has to be removed to fix everything. Just wondering if this is a reasonable cost, as I know nothing about car repair costs. Should I get a second quote? Many thanks in advance.
  2. My 2005 Estima had a little accident when I lent it to my father. He ran over a high gutter and ripped the drivers side skirts off it. The clips are still there undamaged, but the panels are ruined. Is it possible to buy those parts somewhere? I've read somewhere that I might be able to order them from NZ? I can send a photo of the damage if useful. Smash repairer wants $2500 to replace them but I don't want to claim it on insurance as I'm sure the premium will go up. Many thanks in advance.
  3. I've owned my 2005 Estima for a couple of years and I'm finally getting around to wanting to replace the dash system (radio/Gps/etc). A couple of local car audio places are quoting me $1500, which seems a little steep! Could someone please point me in the right direction to have it replaced? Also, has anyone translated what the Japanese spoken is when you first turn the car on? Many thanks in advance!
