  4. So if the weather holds up, the carindale park is still on and the warehouse is a back up or has the whole event been moved to the warehouse? im gonna try buy a waterless car wash kit if the weather doesnt hold. Is there a meet up spot before hand?

    jibbed??

you could always just transplant an aurion motor into the camry :P the chassis should be the same, just the front and rear panels that are different. but yeah i know what you mean about 4cyl cams being slow, ive got a 4cyl and prefer my turbo cam anyday
  8. like relish has said there is not much difference between the two, but you definately have to weigh up the two. First of all, the azura is a 2005 model with 90000km on the clock and was a government car and asking price is 19500, bit rich is u ask me, when a car comes from the government, it has usually been thrashed and so forth and you may find you'll encounter problems with it as well. The 2003 sportivo on the other hand is 2 years older then the azura and has done less kms. Im guessing its an older couple that are selling it? you can probably bring the price down to 16,000ono if your bargining skills are in tune. In my opinion id go for the 2003 sportivo. but uve really gotta go with your gut instinct
  9. to tru to tru :P well for me i was really after a gen3 because all my mates had nissan skylines and ***** and i just wanted to be different. Bought a 1998 camry csi completely stock. Wanted to do up sumthing that wasnt like everythnig else. Turned out to be the only one of its kind on the gold coast, then a year ago the previous owner of the one i have now was selling his. was a feature car in fast fours and i thought why not, once in a lifetime oppurtunity. so now i have two one of a kind camrys lol

    Camry Eyelids

Eyelids are purely cosmetic, but like sweety said, they do look pretty alright on most cars, if i could get a decent sert for my gen4, id have them in a heartbeat
  11. Special thanks to the TOCAU members that came along, it was awesum meeting you all and it was great to see some new faces and great rides! *drools* mmm aurions it was a great drive, unforunate about the narrow roads but it made for an interesting adventure :) just wish i had my camry out on the day :( Cant wait to see the pics!
  12. Had alot of fun on the day i could make it, and it was great to meet the tocau members! very impressed with the organisation and it was a great turnout! luckily the rain passed :D
  13. Thank you to the organisers for an awesum day out at the show and shine, wish i couldve made it to the cruise on sunday but work commitments got in the way. It was excellently organised with a great bunch of people! Thanks again :)
  14. pretty much what hiro said champ :) when you have the 4cyl your more after fuel economy then antythnig else. but you do have reduced power cause in reality it is a 4cyl trying to pull 1500kg worth of car. insurance and rego is cheaper cause it is a 4cyl. You can (with a bit of movement, transfer a 3sgte or even easier is to do a v6 conversion) if you feel the need to have more power. 1997 had the end of the gen3 camrys and the start of the gen4, do you know if its the widebody or the version like mine? <<<
  15. thanx nunga!! where bouts you located champ?
