  1. so does this only happen in the heat? i wonder if getting an analysis on the substance will speed things up, im assuming its toxic. does it smell? does it stick to you if you touch it? for the people who have this, is your dash soft or hard? i dont think my 08 has this issue.... yet. EDIT: Just had a look around in my car. My dash is a different grey to the rest of the car, couldnt find anything similar. It's hardness is: Softer than the plastic next to the air con knobs and softer than the plastic around the electric window buttons. Harder than the sun visor (initial softness due to the cotton stuff then theres a hard plastic inside). Couldnt find anything similar that would come standard in all cars in hardness to describe it.
  2. Im considering doing this myself, i dont think it will take too long and you can pay a shop to press the bearing in, what are the basic steps? Does fulcrum need to do the wheel alignment afterwards or can any shop do it? Does the whole hub assembly have to come out to get the control arm out or can you drop the arm by forcing it down? Assuming hub has to be removed... Special tools/parts needed: Tie rod remover (not needed if you are happy to hang the hub assembly there with the tie rod attached). New cv nut. Deep 30mm 12 point socket + breaker bar for cv nut. Torque wrench to redo cv nut. Press to press new arm bearing in (or pay < $50 for a mechanic to do it). Other than that just standard sockets and spanners. Am i missing anything? never dealt with the arm so not sure what is required.
  3. Rim stud holes are about 15mm wide, toyota thread is M12, will the 3mm gap be a problem if i use a tapered nut? Using hub rings so bore fits well.
  4. So seems like the oxygen sensor is on the way out, sometimes the car runs fine for a few days, sometimes the light will appear instantly after starting the engine. I just had a few questions: Is this the oxygen sensor that bolts into the exhaust manifold that's just behind the radiator? Does anybody know the part number? How hard will it be to get out? And is there any thing i can do to loosen it? 2006 aurion 3.5l
