haha 2nd day in Australia and spotted already. and btw didnt see you. what car you driving. and how do you know it was me. does my car rite sinan on it somewere and i cant see it???

LOL, it's not too hard to spot your car. It's black, it's low, it carries a T-Sport badge on the grille, and sounds damn mean.. very nice!

Anyways, I was in a Camry, going around that same pedestrian crossing at Auburn central in the opposite direction.

haha thanx mate. next time you see me give me a yell. and sorry to jet lagged to notice the camry.

  2. Alright then.

This story is from back when I was living in Bundaberg.

I am recounting this from my very blury memories of the night, and what my friend Sarah and my cousin have told me.

So... It was my cousins 21st birthday and we decided a night on the town was in order

We started off at my Sarah's house for pre drinks.... pre drinks consisted of most of a bottle of Absolut vodka.

Now, Sarah's house was just outside the CBD of Bundaberg, so it was literaly a 200 meter walk to the pub/clubs.

Once we were both good and drunk, we stumbled up to a pub called 'the metro hotel'... shots and many smirnoff double blacks were had there, until we got bored and decided to move on.

We then went to 'the central hotel' to meet up with some friends, and drink more. It is about 1 am by now and due to the vast quantity of alcohol I had drank, i was pretty much useless.

So my cousin decides that its time to head back to Sarah's so I can pass out.

We walk back to hers, and what seemed like a 30 second walk (and should have been) actually took 30 minutes.

So we get back in there, and I strip off, and jump in to Sarah's bed.... and this is where it all went wrong.

I close my eyes and the whole world around me feels like its spinning... and then, my esophagus gets a lot shorter than it should be... I knew what was coming next... I sat up, and went for the window on Sarah's side of the bed.

    I didn't make it.

I vomit all over Sarah's legs.

She wakes up, and as you would expect, is not very pleased with me.

I then feel it again, this time, i make it to the window I was aiming for originally

Unfortunately, someone happens to be walking underneath said window at the time (Sarah's house was in a block of apartments, and on the top floor)

I hear a scream as I fall back on to the bed.

Sarah then decides, after alot of swearing at me, to throw me in the shower and attempt to clean her bed.

I thought it was over, but boy was I wrong.

So i manage to wash the puke off myself in the shower, dry off and go back to her room. My cousin and her have flipped the mattress over, so i get back in to bed.

My cousin (who has spent most of his life working on farms) then says, well at least its not as bad a cow afterbirth.

I start to sit up, but I vomit again... all over myself.

Back in the shower I go, back out, i hop back into the bed, and pass out in a pool of my own puke.

Sarah slept on the couch that night.

Needless to say, I was not popular the next day.

Now who else has got some?

haha i definately rate that story.

  3. Just did the cable bushings tonight and I must say it shows how badly I need a gearbox oil change. Getting into 1st, 3rd, 5th is for some reason alot harder to get into. But now I can land 1st to 2nd, but not 2nd to 3rd near redline

But I really like the feeling going into gears. Really direct. Perfectly complements the short shifter and cradle bushings.

Plus it only cost me 5 bucks :D . Got each bearing for 2 bucks :D

if u dont mind me asking were did u get the bearing from?

  4. hey joey, like i said before, north ryde is the place to be, and is so local to everything. But it seems that its all in that price range anywere. Obviously the closer you are to Sydney CBD the more expensive. Takes me around 20 minutes to get to the city if i leave my place at 7:30am from north Ryde.

what the fck are you on about LOL north ryde is near everything ? YEAH ALRIGHT BUDDY

move to parramatta thats better, so when u come meets up here in villawood its not that far

bit rude might i add MRS. i think he'd rather be closer to work than a club meet.

    agree and.....

    parramatta - maybe too far!

  5. I just got a new shape corolla (late 2007)

is there any dyno charts or estimates on power gains for these upgrades ?

How does the factory computer go with them ? Would you need to have aftermarket tunning ?

I got this car to be more fuel efficent so i don't wanna stuff it up.

    cheers

    michael

stick to your standard exhaust. do anything to your car and your gonna loose the fuel efficent balance.

  6. Hi guys, i use to own r32 GTR! but i just got rid of it last week.

I have bought a new silver 2003 sportivo corolla yesterday and im loving it!. Petrol so far is great compare to my GTR.

I got a little issues about my new sportivo, everytime i change gears i hit the clutch down it revs a bit before i change to the next gear. Why does it do that, is it normal?. One more issue when the car is idleing i can hear a zzzzz sound.

Please help me out on this issues!

    Much appreciated guys

    Thanks Tam:)

not to sure what the zzzz sound is but the revs thing when u change gear is normal. happens to my car aswell.

  7. Basically ...... external differences are the face lift has the tear drops in the lights, the one piece front bar with grille & the different foggies.

on the interior the facelift has a slightly different colour on the centre console and the leather cushioned centre arm rest.

    See pics below

wouldnt u like that centre arm rest billy??? hehe

  8. Hey mate, I bought mine second hand with 65k on the clock, 2004 model, it already had the clutch pedal adjusted and the only problem ive had is that i couldnt SMACK 2nds at 8k, 7.5k fine but not 8k, recently i got the gearbox oil changed and only rarely am i not able to shift at 8k. If i take the shift normal from 1st to 2nd it pops in fine.

Besides that ive got the gear selector cable rattle which is not really noticeable unless your really pedantic and most people end up putting a system in their car so they cant hear it anyway.

Other than that all i can say is, its the best fun lil pocket rocket you can get, i had a choice between this and a 99 model rex running 15 pound and i chose this, y? because its cheap on fuel, they are reliable and it will shock you with the amount of fun and power you can get out of these. Itll be the best investment youve ever made.

    p.s. buy a black one :P

thanks for the quick reply, so what would be a standard set of questions i should be asking the owner? (looking to buy second hand) like asking him whether he had the clutch adjusted? etc?

    cheers.

AND ALSO DEPENDING ON WHAT MODEL HAS THE RECALL BEEN DONE.

  9. Hi guys, im trying to find those tinted slimline window visors off ebay, ive looked up corolla, and runx and whateva our car is refered to overseas but all that pops up is "03 - 06 corolla visors" or "03 - 07" visors and i dont know if there for our model corolla here in oz.

Any ideas? or anyone selling any at all located in sydney??

    Thanks guys

mate the easiest way to do it is go to your toyota dealer spare parts and tell then to order it in for you from japan i think it is. but u gotta tell them that its made by japan toyota otherwise u will get the dumb look and then get told there is no slimeline weather shield for the corolla.
